If he took 3 hours, he was deffinitely a noob!! I set mine up in less than 5 minutes. Buffalo and Netgear FYI.

Of the total time spent, much of it was testing the dead router, trying to get it running again. The guy isn't a noob. Been in the computer business for ages, setting up networks is one of his main services. Never saw a Buttalo before, though. He was constantly trying to persuade me to get a "Net Story" wireless router (some brand the Koreans love, I suppose) or a wired router. Another thing, I had two different, very experienced, whitey computer "experts" struggling with the previous Buttalo wireless router. Spent hours on it. Course, they were stupid Canuckleheads, so what do you expect?


(actually, one of them isn't stupid at all)

Oh okay, well that makes more sense then.

But anyway, if I couuld not have got it to work in 10 minutes, I would have just told you to get a new one. If its fubar, its fubar.

Glad you got it all soreted out though.
