Until now , such inquiry has been off-limits for serious political scientists and historians because of the conspiratorial presumptions that appear inherent in the material.
The implication seems to be that any study that dares to examine the possibility of recent conspiracy is somehow un-American. Yet , in fact, THAT idea is un-American. [/qoute]
"Ummm, no. The implication of the first sentence is that conspiracy nuts are nuts."
Great interpretation of Newman's comments. Says it all. |

Regie,
Yet JFKs Brother Senator Ted Kennedy saw fit to award the "Profiles in Courage" award to a member of the Warren commission, Gerald Ford.
Was Ted complicit in the assassination?

Ok, sorry, you are right. Since Ford received that award from the Kennedy family, the Warren Commission must have been correct in it's conclusions.
Come on you guys , could you say something that makes at least a little bit of sense. Or read something else besides, my god, Case Closed. Only a moron would cite Case Closed as their reason for believing in the big lie.
President Gerald Ford helped heal the nation twice in his life and will be remembered for that.
By pardoning Nixon and putting his name on the Warren Commission, Ford served the nation in it's time of need.
That, however, does not make the Commission's conclusions correct, and they have been in fact, proven false long ago.

No, but it reminds me of this review of Case Closed:
" Mind closed is the more appropriate title , July 9, 2006 "
This book is not only tendentious garbage--it is dangerous as well. All of Posner's deceptive shaping of the evidence depends entirely on the reader not knowing a damn thing about the case. He is a good writer--a genius worthy of Sammy Glick and Joseph Goebbels. Read carefully, Posner's sources are revealed to be official ones--current or former members of governments, police forces, courts. And all sources that he attacks are citizens--and there are thousands of non-governmental sources in this case who provide a mountain of evidence for conspiracy. Posner trashes every one he can get his tricky hands on.
So pro-conspiracy witnesses are not just mistaken, they are insane, drunkards, abusers, liars, publicity hounds ( unlike himself , of course) . grudge holders, folks with hidden agendas ( again, unlike all those intelligence agents he believes in so devoutly).
Let the reader beware: This is State Propaganda at its most clever and diabolical, and the purpose of the book is to convince the reader that only losers believe in conspiracies, those who have not succeeded in this greatest of all possible societies.
Sour Grapes , in other words. |

So you agree that Ted Kennedy may have been complicit in the death of JFK?
The depth of the conspiracy is far reaching indeed!

Elvis did-it-stuff to distract from the truth.
It is called disinformation and it is a way to discredit any opposition to the official story. For many, it is the "cool" thing to do, and it often builds up their self esteem. It began with the tabloids back in the sixties and comes in many flavors. This guy twists my words and has me saying Teddy did it.
An example of this method can be seen in the book "Jackie , Ari and Jack" , a book that says Mrs. Kennedy had Aristotle Onassis kill her husband.
For those of you who actually want to take an honest look at what happened I recommend " Survivors Guilt" by Vince Palamara who can also be seen in the banned episodes of the Men Who Killed Kennedy.
On November 22nd of this year, Vince Palamara paid a generous tribute to JFK research. Vince has spent many years researching the Secret Service and why they failed to protect the President. The result is his book Survivor's Guilt, which he has now made freely available online:

Regicide: you are lucky anyone even responds to you.
And let us turn your sharp insight around, shall we? You hang your paper here on this board, with thread after thread on the JFK conspiracy theory, to distract from the real truth that no one anywhere else listens to you.
Only the lunatic-fringe shares your views. Hollywood and certain publishing firms cater to you and your kind not unlike Paramount caters to "Trekkies": you are a stable consumer of one specific product.
Have you ever considered that as one explanation why this literature keeps turning up again and again? |

You can let this thread die anytime , pal. But everytime you post your bellicose remarks , the thread goes to the top, genius.
I do have better things to do.
Speaking of threads on the JFK Conspiracy, what happend to yours, Gopher? It was around earlier in the day.
You have never , once , posted anything useful on my threads. Why don't you go back to your 911 thread and work that one over?
This is called a discussion board, either discuss or stay away.

Bush (1) referred to the lunatic conspiracy buffs in his eulogy to the great healer Gerald Rudolph Ford.
There is a long list of lone nuts in assassination attempts on the historical figures. There are also some conspiracies. The conspiracy that are shown are obvious and well proven. All the way back to Julius Caesar, Duke Ferdinand and Abraham Lincoln. These were rather small group conspiracies and could not be kept secret. The scope of the JFK conspiracy would have had to include thousands of people keeping their mouths shut for a very long time, hard to imagine.
Other famous unproven conspiracy myths:
The Kennedy's killed Marylin Monroe (Official Suicuide)
Elvis Lives (Overdose, Overweight, Heart Attack)
Jim Morrison is alive and living in Paris France under an assumed name.
Princess Diana was Assassinated (Drunk Driving Accident)
The Lunar Landing was Produced in Hollywood
9/11 (say no more)
etc., etc., etc..

Sure, Regicide. Just one last thing, though.
With the exception of Wangja, every single respondent has ridiculed your "theory" on this thread.
You have created threads on Dave's ESL Cafe that have tended to unite all who responded in a consensus. Have you considered the implications of that? No? Too busy coming up with brilliant rebuttals like "go away" and "stay away?"
The last poster to unite so many against his views was Megook, who I am starting to believe you probably are...What do you think of "the Jews," Regicide? |

But before you go, answer my question. What happened to YOUR thread on the subject and it's poll which promotes your views on the same subject you put down?
Furthermore, I have responded point by point to any poster who had anything to say. I have asked only you to go away because your post's have no substance in them, so there is nothing to respond to.
Now, you are comparing Anti-Semitism to believing there was a conspiracy to kill JFK?
Again, actions designed to divert attention away from the subject at hand.
And dangerously close to calling me an anti-semite. |
