It's not free, you've paid for it.
Malaysia Airline to London poured me a FULL tumbler of Canadian Club to stop me from asking again.Going to KL from Auckland the flight was only half full and they kept giving me booze and get this........sandwiches.Best leg of a flight I've had. |

| Korean Air has free booze also. I was in the center seat on my trip here, and so just couldn't get comfortable enough to fall asleep, so I drank some wine (free...hurray!). Wine makes me sleepy, so soon enough I was sleeping peacefully. |
If you fly with Korean Air, are you stuck drinking Hite or Cass beer? That would make my flight even more miserable. |

| The guy next to me was drinking Budweiser. I'm honestly not sure. I'm guessing it's all cheap domestics, be it American or Korean cheap domestics. |

| Used to be free on International- Thai Air and British Air (as was KLM) were VERY nice. Now, it depends. Last year to Europe on Iceland Air you had to pay. When I got to Europe and flew to Warsaw it was free. US Air will charge you. I'm not too sure about the others. |

Trouble sleeping? 2 sleeping pills, 2 wine, 2 beer.
I prefer to sleep fo 14 hours if I can. Who cares how utterly crappy I feel when I wake up. |

| I would fly with Singapore Airlines every time. I'm always very satisfied, and they have great vegetarian meals. Endless booze. Although, the last time I flew I got a bloody mary with that awful Korean tomato juice (sweet). Usually, they make good ones with real mix. |

Those long hauls are just tedium. The "best" way to fly is to drink lots of water and walk up and down the cabin to keep your circulation going.
If there's a free seat next to me and things are quiet I'll get into the booze.Electronic chess on the back of the seat and a regular supply of Heineken,I'll just keep drinking til I nod off.
Otherwise what am I going to do?Already read the toothpaste tube a few times..... |

| We are talking free beer and wine, right? I think that is all that is offered free on most of the above listed airlines. |
I recently flew on Thai Air and they were pouring whiskey shots. I have heard Singapore air does the same.
Slightly off topic - about 5 years ago Alaskan Airlines was in the habit of offering free, local wines and micro-brews on its DOMESTIC flights. Haven't flown them in awhile, so I don't know if it's still the case. |
