I'm in Alberta and don't think it's all that easy. OK-if you have a trade , esp if you are a journeyman then you can write your own ticket.
But for laborers I see a lot of guys talking about these 100000 K and more a year stuff but guess what? They are making 12 an hour or so and not getting rich like they thought. At best they might get a camp gig for 1500 every 2 weeks ...I can't get these jobs myself(40 ish with a criminal record) but I don't care....Fort Mac sounds just a bit better (or worse ) than Siberia or Inner Mongolia......no wonder people turn into crackheads.
Edmonton is bad enough I'd lose the plot totally up there..
Good luck but forget it without a trade.... |
