I also have this question firmly in mind whenever I consider the veracity of a religion: can their God predict and/or avoid struggles over land rights in the 21st century? If He can help resolve patent disputes as well so much the better. Noisy fruit trucks and construction too. I'd never worship a God that allows that to happen. |
It's just weird that god can help people win super bowls and lotteries. But he kinda craps out on stuff like this. |

How about "justice is best served by restoring the land to its native inhabitants that form the majority".

The Palestinians have been living in Jerusalem for longer than the Maori have been living in New Zealand and for longer than the Normans have been living in England. Sorry Junior, but they are natives.

But not as long as the Jews.
* Its not about revenge GAJ. Its called justice.
muslims overran the biblical patriarch Joseph's Tomb, site of a synagogue, burnt the Torah scrolls and murdered the rabbi who supervised the site, as well as a Druse officer trying to protect it, and utterly trashed the holy place. And who can forget the Muslim terrorists holed up in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, using the baptismal font as a latrine and abusing the New Testaments there? Not to mention the daily religious discrimination upon the Temple Mount where they illegally forbid Christians and Jews from praying or reading the Bible.
These are the concrete actions of the leaders of the "Palestinian" community, documented actions that are in stark contrast to the virtues they profess to the Western media about religious tolerance and freedom of access to religious sites within "Palestine."
It's past time the Israeli government act responsibly and change the deplorable status quo upon the Temple Mount, and restore Judaism's holiest site as the Temple Mount, hosting a "a House of Prayer for all peoples" as envisioned by the Prophets.

supposed to be sarcastic? Sorry, I just thought it was more evidence of your new and revolutionary thinking about Christianity. My bad. |

This will be the billion dollar question for the end of days. Who was/is/will (be) the rightful owner of Israel in these end days.
My bets are on Israel. |

Uh, which is why all the descendents of the celts who now live in Australia have the right to return to England and repossess land now owned by anyone who arrived after 1066? Whatever you say, god boy.

Spin it as much as you like, but you don't really care about justice. Hypocrite.

This is actually a good idea, apart from the rebuilding the temple part. Get rid of the dome, build a shopping mall and entertainment complex. |

I don't see the problem. It was good enough for south africa wasn't it?
If you can get your act together and do it, why not? Start a celtic army and re-occupy it. Win by military force and hold your ancestral land. go for it mr. runrig.
problem is, you "celts" are so intermixed now, your ancient language and culture has changed or gone, and so you don't really have much claim. In any case you lack the organisation and military skill to pull off such a feat.By contrast, the Jews language and culture is unchanged from several millenia, plus they have the longest unbroken presence of anyone in that territory. They're also the majority in Israel. |

The irony of a white Zimbabwean saying this is just un-fockin-believable. Man, I used to think you were just plain nutty, but now I realize you are a fundamentalist bigot with some truly dangerous ideas. |

The point is, my dear jaggsy, that you westerners apply double standards to different nations whenever it suits you. You are totally inconsistent, not to mention hypocritical, in your policies. Your grand judgement is swayed by political expediency, trends, transient fashionable philosophies, and economics. Is it any wonder the world is turning against the foreign policies of the US and the west???
U.S. (and puppets NZ, Aus, canada & U.K) Foreign policy manifesto.
native rights
Slogan:"the natives deserve sovereignty over the land'.
-so lets give back South Africa, Zimbabwe and a host of other nations to them, even though it ruins them in the process.
But lets not give back our own countries (U.S, Australia, NZ) to the natives, because then we'd have nowhere to live. In the case of our own natives, they have no rights. However we will die to protect the rights of other native peoples elsewhere in the world, so long as we can then exploit them ourselves, afterwards.
In the case of Israel, lets not support the natives: the Jews.Instead lets fill our lapdog media with anti semitic propoganda. In the case of Fiji, lets condemn the natives for attempting to gain power in their own country.
Military intervention: is justified only if there are valuable resources we can exploit- such as Iraq or the tiny Kuwait. Lets mask it with the emotive 'freedom" propoganda. In the case of Mass genocide in countries without valuable resources, lets just do nothing, eg rwanda.
dictatorships: if the ruthless dictator is prepared to supply us with cheap resources or military bases etc, lets overlook his evil regime. (saudi Arabia). If a country bars our access to its resources, lets make a big deal of his supposed human rights abuses and make it a pariah state. (Venezuela).
deterrent: if a country has vast human rights abuses and nuclear weapons, give it money and do not attack.
if a country has vast human rights abuses but no nukes, attack it. But only if it has resources to make it worth the while." |
