| Strange, though. No offense, but the Tom's guy has got a superior system to yours...why would he get lower scores? He's using a E6800 and 2x1G 800GHz RAM and the same chipset (775). You got some stuff O/Ced? |
no sir. Everything is normal; nothing overclocked. This is just a prime example which lends credibility to what Demophobe said a few months ago regarding the quality of computer items:
"You can have the same E6600 chip 10 different times, and yet, each time, you will get different performances out of each one. Some will be stronger, some will be weaker. That's just how it is".
Very true. Yeah, I saw that that guy had better specs than mine, yet, my rig runs better. If you ask me, I would say it is because of the type of stuff I buy (i.e. corsair ram versus some ad-hoch crap, BFG versus something like gigabyte or prime, etc.).
Top of the line for me baby! |

Woah! Nevermind. I just saw that he has the same brands that I do, well, most at least.
Man...that is strange. he should be pumping more than me. Hold on, let me run a test with no soft shadows so that it is the same as his... |

Alright, here are the finals:
With the same specs. as Tom's hardware (i.e. no soft shadows and only 8x Anisotropic):
and
The only real difference was in the frame rate distribution. I got 98% rather than 96% above 40fps. If you refer to Tom's specs: he hits 48fps while mine is hitting 70 fps on average. Maybe.....just maybe...the guy didn't know what he was doing? Maybe he f*&ked something up in the process of assembling the PC? |

What a conundrum...Oh well, I guess we'll just have to go with the more credible source. |

CL, I didn't mean to sound like I didn't believe you. I thought maybe there was some confusion, that's all.
However...
After your screenies, I would have to say that you are a shaman...do a Google for your card and "review", then check out the FEAR benchies.
Anyhow...*drool* over those numbers mate! |

Yeah, I feel all yall, I just got done reviewing some more benchmarks. Nothing is rating even close to what my system is handling. HAHAHA. That's great. They should have used my rig as a benchmarker. j/k |
