Indeed. You're not in Korea forever. Things can change at any time. Every few months we see people begging others to take their dog. Can you not live a single year without owning a fkin' dog? I thought pet ownership was an act of love. To me, it's evidence of selfishness. You need something around you to suck up to you. And a vet's needle is, often as not, what's waiting for this dog after a year of ownership.

I don't know the individual circumstances of this person and don't want to rush to judge him or her without more facts. But in so many of these situations, yes, that's exactly what happens, and it's a very sick comment on society.

If my landlord decided I couldn't have cats, I'd move out before I gave up the cats.

It's too bad more people don't think that way. Sad

There was a "great" story on the Freaky Waegook thread about some teacher who had a couple rabbits as pets. She was rather quickly fired and she moved out. Her room mates all assumed she found a place for her rabbits. When the ajumma came to clean her room, they found the place. In their cage, under her old bed. Long dead.

I love cats. I have cats in North America, but I won't get a cat here. I live alone and if I ever had to quit on a moments notice, I don't have the time to do the paper work to bring my cat back to Canada. I can live pet free.

That rabbit story is so horrible. What kind of person would so such a thing?

Sad
