| Just for the record, the title is misleading. Men are also entitled to the same split of assets if the woman is wealthier. I can't speak for the U.K., but alimony laws in the U.S. are gender-neutral. Women can be taken to the cleaners, so to speak, if they are the primary wage-earner. Maybe that's the lesson you boys should be taking from this - marry a woman who makes more than you! |

If I remember right, men that get married live longer lives, with lower levels of morbidity and higher levels of psychological health.
Married women, on the other hand, die earlier. |
These facts came to mind as soon as I spotted the thread's title. It should be "why women should never marry"
Single women live longer than married women, yet married men live longer than single men, and, statistically, a woman's life is shortened by 95 weeks for every child she has. A man on the other hand lives 75 more weeks for each daughter he has! A curious statistic indeed. |

Yeah, and what's up with many women getting uglier after they have been married for at least five years or longer? Especially some Korean women I have seen. I saw one Korean girl who looked good before marriage, then about 2 years after, uh-oh. She was fatter and of course she cut her hair, AND she was still in her late 20s. This was before the babies came. |
