With the effort you took to write that, you could have said:

"I retract my support for Chavez. I was clearly mistaken, and his opponents were right. He is a totalitarian, and is running the country into the ground, just as BJWD and others said he would. I will not fall in love with another populist so quickly ever again. I have learned my lesson." That is all we want.

Then I would have been talking bollocks...something I'll happily leave to you...

So, then, you still support him. Or, are you going to try and wiggle out of this . You voiced clear support for him and then said it was just you supporting the V's right to elect him (though that was totally contradicted by your other posts).

So, which is it. You do or do not support him? It is ok bb, you can retract an opinion. You don't need to save face. You can admit mistake, we all make them. Just be adult enough to admit that you were wrong. Even OH and jinju have admitted wrong lately. Why can't you? You won't be able to shake this off. Supporting a growing tyrant is not acceptable (and that goes for all of them).

P.S. Big bird, why dont you return to Chavez threads anymore?

I don't have internet at home, and with a newborn plus a boisterous young 2 year old in tow you can imagine how difficult it is to a) get out of the house, b) slip into a libary or internet cafe on the occasions when I am able to get out of the house (naughty toddlers leaping and lolloping all over the other customers/babies screaming at the top of their lungs in libraries).

Jinju, I'll make a deal with you. Grow a pair of mammory glands and come around to mind my young children. You can sit for hours on end feeding baby and watching dreadful midday B movies and other mindnumbingly awful daytime TV like Dr Phil and his teary-eyed disfunctional friends, while my toddler practices WWF wrestling on you, (which often involves him diving from the top of the sofa down onto you while you desperately try to sheild the baby from his madcap brother - not too funny after the first couple of incidents). Don't forget to change their nappies, bathe them both and keep the place clean. In the meantime I will suddenly be free to go to an internet cafe or a library and enjoy a few hours cavorting on the CE forum. That would be nice. Otherwise, it's a waste of your time constantly calling out for me to play with you - it's going to be too much like one hand clapping.

Id feel sorry for ya if you didnt sympathize with the worst scum on the earth (Chavez, Hezbollah, Castro, Reinhart). And you have nobody to blame but yourself for your toddler's bad behavior.

Dammit! I hate it when I spot stupid spelling mistakes like this. It looks like mammary has mated with memory....

That's probably quite true. Perhaps I shall introduce junior to Sharia Law...
