"It is better to try and fail than to not try at all" I suppose? But I don't recall Branson ever failing at something so I'm sure it'll work. We're right at the dawn of private aerospace so there's no better time to try. See:

BTW, the first time New Mexico registered on my mental radar was when all these aerospace ventures were announced by the governor, whereas before it was just a state that was kind of funny because it had the name Mexico but nevertheless wasn't Mexico.
