Thunder AM plays oldies in the morning (if they're not covering some college football game); and if one wakes up early, some NPR talk; a decent way to start one's day-- some Beatles, Stones, and real coffee. It goes downhill from there, though; Paul Harvey, followed by Dr Laura. A train-wreck for sure. Country music all afternoon, if that's your idea of a good time. Sunday evenings, Tales from Lake Wobegon, usually a better deal than the AFN movie offered up in the same time-slot. Can't pull in Eagle FM here in the highlands, but as others have suggested, web radio is your best bet. Upgrade your speakers, and listen to your favorite stations from home. |

I can get a really scratchy BBC on shortwave. This morning, though, it switched to something that sounded like it came from the north, lots about the 'Great Leader' handing out medals and reviewing troops and so forth. It was in English. Anyone know about this programme/station? I've been here for only a few days, so am not sure if it airs every day. |
