Just recently a pro baseball player died and ephedrine was considered to be a factor in his death. Ephedrine + Heat + exersion can = Death.

Be careful kiddies!

Yeah, there's a fair number of warnings out there about the stuff. Anything that spikes heartrate and blood pressure like that needs to be approached with caution.

Then again, you only live once, though, right? Caution's boring.

Bacchus F is nothing like Red Bull. Bacchus-F has only 30mg of Caffiene, which is less than a can of coke.

Similar taste, and a boatload of Taurine like Red Bull, but thats it.

The kick in Bacchus F is not the caffeine, it's the nicotine. 20 mg of nicotine. The average cigarette has 1 mg. If you don't believe me, check the label, nicotine is the same word in Korean (ƾ).

I avoid that stuff like the plague, and still I can't believe that it's not only available at convenient stores and pharmacies, but given to children.

There is no nicotine in Bacchus-F. Read it again. Its nicotinomide, which is a completely different substance. It has 50mg of Nicotinomide... which if that were actually Nicotine it would be a lethal dose in humans.

Also, I have never seen Bacchus-F in convenience stores, as far as I know you have to buy it at a pharmacy. Your area may be different but I've never seen it in an LG25/711 etc in Seoul and I've looked.

I just saw it in a super the other day. Never look for it, though. And I know at least one other super carries it.

Huh? They all have it! You can buy that stuff everywhere at any time of day! It doesn't do much for me though. More beer, dammit!

you can't really go past the " purple lady"

1part coke
1part petrol (i prefer super but it's hard to track down over here, so go with the unleaded, a lot better for the lungs anyways)

Holy crap Rawiri, sounds like a party starter for real.

Personally I go for lighter fluid. Just pour some on the wrist of your jersey and breathe your way to sweet heaven.

I picked up a can (yes, can) of Bacchus (no -F) at the Korean grocery store in Tacoma today. It's a 250ml can, same as the soda sizes in Korea. Here's the ingredients rundown:

Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, taurine, citric acid anhydrous, apple juice, phosphoric acid, polysorbate 80, caffeine anhydrous, inositol, gingko biloba extract, royal jelly extract, nicotinamide, pyridoxine, riboflavin, thiamine, natural essences (orange, pineapple, strawberry) and artificial flavors.

The "Nutrition Facts" label states 120 calories in 250ml, 29g of Carbs (all sugars), 100%dv (daily value) of Thiamine (B1), 230% of Riboflavin (B2), 100% of Nicotinamide (B3) and 250% of Pyridoxine (B6).

Even though there's no "-F" on the label, it's the same Bacchus, manufactured in Korea by Dong-A Pharm. Co, Ltd. Distribution in the US is handled by Dong-A America, Corp., based in Bell, California.

Hmmm.... I stand corrected. I've been warning people away from that stuff for a long time, too. Embarassed

According to this article (http://www.infoplease.com/ce6/sci/A0861824.html) nicotinamide is just one of the B-complex vitamins. I'm glad to hear that liquid nicotine isn't being peddled on every street corner in Korea!

A lot of the slimming pills no longer come with Ephedrine. Firstly it's addictive, and secondly it also gives you tremors and can cause paranoia (Not so different from speed!)

Where the hell can you get slimming pills in Seoul? Any known brands? It would be a lot handier than ordering them from back home (they'd probably be a lot cheaper too) I use them for the energy factor (of course!) I used to whack 3 or 4 Metabo back before I went to a club and I'd be mincing it up all night. Very Happy

In the meantime I'll nip across to the pharmacy and get some of that Bacchus-F stuff. Razz
