I only saw a clip on the net of the end of the fight. Any word on his leg? That thing looked like frickin' Joe Theismann all over again. Possibly career ending?

Yeah, I watched the fight here in Canada. I don't know if you had the benefit of English announcers when you watched it in Korea but they were positively stunned when Crocop went down in a heap. As far as his leg goes, I saw an interview later and he appeared to be fine and there was no reference to his leg at all. The interview and it was conducted while he was standing so it looks as though it's OK. He was basically as stunned as everyone else about the kick. The announcers said at 1 point during the fight that they thought he had not taken his training seriously enough and was thinking too much about facing the champion next. The champ was also interviewed after and you could see he was in awe of the kick that Gonzaga planted. I imagine he is taking him very seriously now.

I saw an interview about 18hrs afterwards when he got back to Croatia. It said he was talking with a very obvious limb, but appeared ok.

As for the champ (Randy) taking him seriously now, he has always contended that he thought a Gonzaga fight was much harder for him. He even picked him for the upset. Randy doesnt take anyone lightly.

Gonzaga is famous for upsets (over teams like the Tar Heels... Wink )

Interesting to me that he now fights out of Ludlow, Massachusetts - That's the high school football team that I blocked two punts in one game against ...

My jaw dropped when Gonzaga knocked him out. I never expected a kick. Not from him.
