I wonder if Jinju read more than two sentences in my initial reply. Rudeness isn't justified by how common sentiments supposedly are. Exactly how does Quebec rely on the support of the rest of Canada? Which industries of ours are dying?
You paid for our "special society?" Funny, I don't remember. It was actually PM Jean Chretien who declared that Quebec was officially a distinct society.
What is our supposed linguistic facism and how does "your" government prop it up?
Our xenophobia and hate for the rest of the country? What evidence do you have to support your claim that Quebec is xenophobic and hates the rest of the country?
"We" give you the finger in the form or referendi on soverignty? I think you mean the Parti Quebecois and not "we." You seem to need reminding that as stated in my last message, there's been a grand total of two such referendi in the last twenty-seven years, separatists lost both times, they'd lose again if there was a vote tomorrow and the separatist Parti Quebecois came in third place in the last provincial election, their worst since 1970.
Montreal is not a decrepid, crumbling city outside the center. The West Island is very wealthy, so is Cartierville in the northern part of the city. There are also some fantastic homes in LaSalle and there's lots of new development there and in Ville St. Laurent. I've only been to Quebec City twice but it was very beautiful. Are you lying or have you really been there?
You rebuke racism and xenophobia but if anyone's guilty of such feelings in this thread it's you. You're hostile and quite clearly don't know what you're discussing.
