Nah, you can't ruin something by making too much. Only if you're really, really bad at it. There are only so many decades until death so I say make while the making's good.
While we're on the subject of Spider-Man, here's his thoughts on the matter:

It's 100% work safe. |

Paul and Mick at least are trying new music. They're not trying to make "Sgt Pepper Part 2, Fixing ANOTHER hole" or "Some Girls 2- More Ho's"
Movies are different. You CAN ruin a good thing by making too many in a series.
Proof?
Godfather 3
Dumb and Dumberer
Need I go on?
Besides, Lucas has $3.6 billion. That's A LOT of money. |
I'm pretty sure there aren't many people richer than Paul and Mick.
Paul's new album does have a couple of remakes on it. And you can't tell me that each of those Police Academy movies weren't better than the one before. Ditto for the Highlander flicks. I just read about new Terminator movies in the making.
Don't blame the artists for their mediocrity when audiences buy it up and ask for more swill. Me? I could watch 100 new Star Wars movies. After all, I've seen Star Wars about 100 times... |
