But wait! Pheonix lost AGAIN.............(I don't understand the Pheonix bandwagon).
Clevelend WAS good enough to be there, just not good enough to win.

Pheonix would have beat Cleveland in 4 as well. The western conference is a playoff to see who will beat up on whatever substandard team comes from the east. I would pick pretty much every team in the western playoffs over the Cavs. Are you really telling me that Cleveland would be in the finals if they played in the West? |

I see you point........but.........what is wrong with having a paid professional athelete who does his job? What is wrong with having a paid pro athelete who does not get in trouble, does not make excuses, and does do some fancy dance everytime he scores (that's his job) or does something good?
He is a pretty good romodel if you ask me.
There is nothing wrong with a team that stays out of trouble, does not make escuses, and does not run around with their "bling bling" all the time. The Spurs are a professional team, and they act professional..........which is why people find them boring in this day and age.

there's nothing wrong. I don't really care about their off-the-court antics. I'm not saying they don't deserve to win. Just saying they're boring to watch is all.
isn't in more fun to watch an exciting team go all the way and win? because if the team keeps winning and advancing, that means you gotta keep watching that team play. |

How did you make that assumption?
If they, should they, could they, would they......................it means nothing. Each playoff series has 7............yes, 7 games to prove who is the better team.
Cleveland proved to be the better team in the East...........not West. How did you come up with that question based off what I said?

talk about the NBA reseeding after the first round of playoffs...that would make it a bit more interesting.
i'm all for a shorter regular season, best of 3 first round and reseeding. |

Don't get upset honey..I'm just saying Cleveland are only in the finals because the East sucks. Cleveland deserved to be there sure(according to the structure of the playoffs), but they aren't one of the best teams in the league. |

Yeah, I have never got the whole Phoenix bandwagon thing either. Shoot, Nash a back to back MVP with ZERO trips to the NBA Finals during that time. I don't get it. |
The mvp is an individual award. I don't see how going to the Finals has anything to do with it. I would have given one of those awards to Kobe and he didn't go either.

Excuses are like arssholes...................everyone has one.
Anyway, NO...Cleveland would have survived if they had been in the West. But, they aren't. Yes, it is possible that things could have been different if Washington had their full starting line up...but, they didn't.
But, what Cleveland DID do is beat a more experienced team............Detroit.

So what exactly are you saying? Cleveland are one of the best teams? Are you the only guy in the world who has failed to see the massive disparity in talent between east and west?
edit..didnt see ur edit. cleveland beat who they had to beat..my only point was they aren't as good as the top western teams like SA, Pheonix, Jazz ... |

Are YOU the only that can't read? Did I say Clevelend would be top notch in the West? No........go back and read again.
But, to be fair................Games three and four were not exactly blowouts. Cleveland only lost by a combined score of 4 points.

IMHO...Kobe is a player that does not know his role. His mouth and head are bigger then is game.
Duncan knows his role
Dirk (My boy!!) knows his role.
Nashty knows his role.

He's a terrific player and seems to be a great role model.
But I'm not going to waste my time watching him on TV. Boring.
And that's the problem, because the league needs people to watch televised games.
As for the Suns bandwagon? I don't think they're all that great, but they are at least fun to watch.
edit: Oh, and apparently Dirk's new "role" is to choke like a chump in the biggest games of his career. HA |
