Let's see: Iran funds and advises terrorist groups in several countries for the sole purpose of causing regional instability which they intend to exploit and you have the temerity to equate that with what the American and British forces are trying to do?

That's rich, even for a liberal.

The reason Iran is becoming a superpower is because America took out it's 2 rivals armies in the region (Iraq and Afghanistan) so Iran has been able to grow unchecked for about 5 years. Now would any country anywhere not be anti american in the position where the US has invaded two of it's neighbours, and is making noises to attack them, should they just sit there?

I am not pro Iran at all, and I agree that they are a repulsive regime, but I don't think they are being any more beligerent than any other superpower

In addition to attacks on US forces they do stuff like blow up Jewish community centers - in Argentina. , and kill the translators of the Satanic Versus in Japan .

Islamic judges in Iran have set the precedent that the rape of a Mandaean woman can be regarded as an act of 'purification,' and as such, violators receive impunity. In Iran this defence has been used to acquit men of rapes on Mandaean girls as young as 8 years old (ibid.).

I disagree, I think it's useful to compare the two countries since the thread is about them

I agree with you that Iran is run by sickos, and I'd choose to live in America or even under an American regime than Iran any day of the week

But America funds some pretty sick regimes as well (Iraq being a useful example)

The point I was making is that it's not really a surprise that Iran is making moves against America since of the 3 most powerful countries in the region it is the only one which America hasn't occupied under Bush. And America gives a lot of military and financial aid to Israel, who also hate Iran

I think we are talking at cross purposes tbh
