| i'm with ontheway. i don't believe the terms are useful in a pragmatic way at this point. but at least they used them as adjectives. using them as nouns is downright pathetic. |

The 'study's' results are obvious, and the only value is some of the numbers they provide.
I say this because, as has been pointed out, radio has long been a haven for conservatives. They don't have to read a single word by listening to the radio, and that suits conservatives just fine, seeing as that many of them can't read...
That's why the print media is 'liberal'... Liberals are more educated and more intelligent, not to mention capable of reading, and thus you have the 'bias'.
It's SO obvious I'm not even sure what the discussion is all about? |

I quite clearly have told you I've looked for recent work and have not found it. Neither have you. I also made no claim of a smoking gun. However, my point is valid. If there were a liberal bias, how likely would it be that there would have been a massive swing in the attitudes of HS students understanding of the Constitutional principles this nation was founded on? Would you claim that if there were no liberal bias ALL HS students would have converted to this sad opinion?

That argument means nothing. What has happened to ownership over that same time? Editors make no decisions owners don't allow.
You are ignoring the obvious fact of the media taking itself to task for abdicating their duties from 9/11 to present. That alone is proof of a swing from liberal to conservative ideas.
As for your list of contributors, I'll find the link for you to a very basic analysis of that "list." It goes thus: that list contains all kinds of journalists. It doesn't matter what a sportswriter contributes to. It doesn't matter what a gossip columnist contributes to. What DOES matter is what political reporters contribute to, for example, and most of them, depending on the outlet, are barred from contributing to any political campaign as one of their employment conditions.
Unless and until that list is broken down by category, it actually means nothing. |

| Yes, the media has a bias towards the left. The only exception (in the USA and Canada) is talk radio. There is nothing wrong with this. |
