I'm stoked and motivated- Already smashed 3 kgs on the head in the run-up to September 1st so I'm 30% of the way there! And the $ thing is coming under control too.
I'm going to draw a chart of 100 days and scotch-tape it to the fridge.
Good success, Team, with the studies, smoking, money, Kgs/pounds etc!! |

Today is Sept. 1, my b-day is Dec. 10. That's 101 days.
MY GOAL - lose some tubbage around the mid-section, and add some muscle (looking more for tone than mass). I'm not overly concerned about weight, just the distribution and composition of it.
I plan on going to the gym 3 - 4 times per week, begin and/or end each workout with 5, 10, 15 minutes on the treadmill, and play ice hockey once per week. Do more cycling on the river paths. Also planning on eating a little better - more fresh fruits and veggies, less pizza and burgers, go easy on the white rice (I cook only Thai brown at home), lay off the booze during weeknights and go a little easier on weekends - last night being an exception
I just may do a Before / After photo thing... |

I bought a scale today (yikes--that's not good!). And I'm joining a TKD gym next week (have to get one of the Korean teachers to help me find a class with adults, or at least older teens).
No more snacky-type foods unless they are fruits/veggies (fortunately there are PLENTY of fruits and veggies abounding around here!). I wish I could find brown rice at the store, but I'm still new, so I'm still learning where everything is.
Going to work on the easiest paper first. Hopefully I can churn that one out this week!
I like the idea of before/after photos for weight loss. However, I will post both at the END of this 100 days thing, when I have something to brag about, right? |

I'm trying to quit drinking (which is why I didn't make it to your party) Thanks for the invitation.
It hasn't been a perfect project, I'm not exactly looking at a 100% here.
The big plan is to quit smoking as well.
But then I wouldn't be exactly be mysteriousdeltarays without both social lubricants would I ? It seems to be a problem.
I was thinking about this tonight. Some woman I knew in college. I knew her before she "straightened out." I knew her later as well. But she transformed into sort of a major *beep* because as she confided in me one day (actually it was at night) "She found it hard to converse with people now." She took me to a dog racing track the next day and blew a fortune gambling on hunches.
Her sexual escapades after sobering up were quite fascinating and seemed to revolve around some sort of repressed fantasies. And yet she acted them all out in reality. Bikers and ex-cons were big in reality for her.
Had two kids out of wedlock with both groups so to speak. Years later when I met her again. I found it easy to talk to her kids. They were all messed up.
I kind of liked her. She always seemed to be able to talk to me but then I'm highly conversational at times (when I'm drunk.) Oddly enough she ended up being (in my opinion a highly no doubt incompetent) high school counselor.
I'm not making this up.
Maybe that is my ultimate goal, and I don't realize it.
I want to become a *beep* and hang out with Biker Girls! Looking at the general discussion board the way things are going now there should be no shortage of these in the near future. |

one-third of the way through 100 days.
Where is everyone at?
I have $4,000 more of debt I'd like to pay off before mid-December, AND been going to the gym about four times a week since September 1st.
The rest of you keeping up on it so far? |

grad school papers--not so much. Been distracted a lot by fun stuff and attractive menfolk. Need to focus! |

I''ve lost 8 of the U.S. 15 (Lb.s).
I'm also loving the food in Saudi Arabia. And my job.
Right now I am on holiday for Ramadan, and am hanging out in McCleod Ganj, in the Himalayas.
Got to watch the butter nan, though. |

This finished about 3-4 weeks ago, and I'm sure long-forgotten.
I did meet my financial goals. I didn't meet my gym goals. I was going strong for about 50 of the 100 days, then I just fizzled out on that one.
Financially, I'm happy though. Nearly out of debt completely now (in one month, I'll have zero debt). |

an overhead kick
a free kick with my left foot
a header from an out swinging ball
a half volley on the turn
there are certainly many goals to aspire to lol
on a serious note ive made cooking one of my goals. especially pan asian curries Indian, Thai etc. Seoul is good for ingredients so that helps and good cuts of meat arent too hard to find nor are they too expensive. also koreans seem fascinated by the sight of a male cooking. |
