The Koreans are terrible tourists, it is true. I'm going to stay clear of any popular attractions over Chusok, when Singapore gets invaded by thousands of them. Or maybe I'll head down to the water and ask them one after another if they are from Japan. Cause Japan very good.

However, my experience is that the Australians (who I usually like very much) are by far and far and far the worst tourists (or expats) in Singapore. They have a colonial mentality unlike anything I've ever seen. They act like total fools in the clubs. The are extremely disrespectful to the local girls. They are loud and drunk and loud when they are drunk. They are very unpopular with Singaporeans. Lee Kwan Yew called them "Asia's White trash", which I was very offended to hear the first time. Now I agree.

And that accent on a women is just terrible. I'd rather listen to a drunken Newfi.

But I like Australians and Oz otherwise. For some reason, as soon as they hit Changi...

Most Koreans have no clue how to act amongst foreigners. In an international context they are certainly out of their element.

Thats not quite true. I am constantly told "that when in rome I should act as the romans do". So they know that people should live according to the culture of the country they are in.

The last time I was told that was friday, I said I will keep it in mind when I get to rome, but I am living in korea.

Koreans may SAY "When in Rome, do as Romans do", but (from my experience) what they MEAN is "Wherever Romans are, you must do as Romans do".
