War..when did Iraq attack america? or for that matter Afghanistan? It seems the only country that did have many citizens involved was left alone.
Saddam shot at US planes , He continued to threaten Kuwait , he tried to kill a US president. His regime supported terror though not AQ. His regime also incited violence
Afghanistan protected the Taliban. and for the record many in both countires are glad the US took down Saddam and the Taliban. That also figures into the ethics of the whole thing. It also saved some lives.

american homeland security requires invading soveirgn nations who have never directly attacked the states...seems strange to me.
whatever it takes to clobber the enemy,

I don't see how this is a war, not what you were describing anyway.
Well please describe what Saddam was doing

when did these groups attack mainland US? Seems only AQ fits the bill and they are the only ones who you seem to be avoiding. most of the attackers were saudi.
Well there are those who support AQ the Taliban
And Saddam was engaged in low level war against the US.
And I don't know why you are so upset about the US wars in Afganistan and Iraq. It is true that many innocents died but also many innocents were saved those lives count too.
For instance if Saddam were not contained he would have killed off the Kurds. That is something that counts too.
Also destroying the enemy would save lives in the US
And last if Saddam or the Taliban got their way it would be alot crueler and harsher than if the US got its way.
Many of these points are very simple but they are also probably accurate.
While you don't agree with me, ld hope you could at least see that there are facts that you are not considering in your calculation. |
