Sorry, but I could have sworn that you were in the pool with us that I so miserably lost last season. Embarassed

The NCAA tourny pool? I was in that. But it's just blind guesses on my part.

Sadly, mine were not all blind guesses!

Hitler and Stalin had great public health programs too.

I am all in favor of assassinating Mugabe if possible. That being said:

Iraq was much richer cause of its oil comparing the medical situation of each country is not a good comparison.

Saddam killed 300,000 Iraqis but the number goes up if you include his war with Iran and his invasion of Kuwait.

And he was looking to do worse . Kill the Kurds and invade Kuwait and maybe go after Israel.

Secondary Level of Mass Murderers:

Obviously, we're going to run into the same vagueries and uncertainties when we try to rank numbers 4 through 10 on the list of the 20th Century's worst killers, but at least we can nominate the candidates. A pretty good case could be made that each of the following rulers (listed alphabetically) were responsible for over a million unjust, unnecessary or unnatural deaths by initiating or intensifying war, famine, democide or resettlement, or by allowing people under their control to do so:

* Chiang Kai-shek (China: 1928-49 )
* Enver Pasha (Turkey: 1913-18
* Hirohito (Japan: 1926-89)
* Hirota Koki (Japan: 1936-37 )
* Ho Chi Minh (North Vietnam: 1945-69 )
* Kim Il Sung (North Korea: 1948-94)
* Lenin (USSR: 1917-24)
* Leopold II (Belgium: 1865-1909 )
* Nicholas II (Russia: 1894-1917)
* Pol Pot (Cambodia: 1975-79)
* Saddam Hussein (Iraq: 1969- )
* Tojo Hideki (Japan: 1941-44)
* Wilhelm II (Germany: 1888-1918 )
* Yahya Khan (Pakistan: 1969-71 )

Stop moving the fucking bar.

Saddam killed 50-100,000 of them. Mugabe is scum but I don't know of him doing anything to that extent.

Of course Saddam would have killed many more were he not contained.

As I said most would say Idi Amin was even worse than Mugabe and Saddam was as least as bad as Idi Amin.

You don' t have a case.

1)Saddam was even worse than that scum bag Mugabe.

and there is no excuse for the silence and selective criticism of the UN and the "peace" movement .

And when you get down to it the UN and the peace movement have not only been silent about Mugabe but they were also silent about Saddam unless the US raised the issue.

The "anti war movement" for the most part is only anti war by the US - not anti war by the enemies of the US.

The "peace movement" was more or less silent about Saddam

and they were silent about Mugabe

What does that say about them?

actually it says a lot about them.

Are you teaching in Korea? Doesn't that say the UN works?

Sorry, I'd go back and find the relevant quote from yourself, but I'm going to bed now.

No that would say it might have worked at one time.
