Well I can't speak for any American except myself, but personally I don't need condolences from the world. The worlds media has decided to blow the story up, well let's be honest here, at the present the US is still the world's most powerful nation, so our media is mostly to blame.

For me what happened is of little consequence as I didn't know any of the victims, not anymore than the "that's so sad" I think when I hear of another senseless bombing in Iraq. It just interests me on an intellectual level as why someone would do this, and what went wrong that this had to happen.

I get tired of hearing people from various nations criticize the US though, especially those that decide to insult Americans personally, as if one individual has control over the world's largest economy. If I met an Iraqi and he wanted to insult the US I would probably take it because their country has been basically raped by what the US has done, so even if it isn't my fault personally, I would understand the anger. A Canadian or British citizen criticizing just seems more like the nosy neighbor trying to find out what a minor family squabble is about.
