superb stuff from Kinnear
---
Kinnear took exception to reports that queried the logic of Newcastles first-team players having Monday off. In the first five minutes of his comments to written journalists, he employed 50 expletives, describing reporters as c***s and so f***ing slimy, but his threat to curtail media operations at a club who have been crippled by a lack of communication would appear questionable.
I will stand up and fight for myself in any corner, he said. Youre not going to f*** me off or frighten me in any manner. Whatever you do, or whatever headlines you run, youre not going to embarrass me. Im not going to stand for it. Ive come up here for a simple chance to f***ing prove myself. Get off my back and let me get on with my job. Thats all I ask. F***ing hell.

The following is an edited transcript of Newcastle interim manager Joe Kinnear's first official press conference yesterday

Just waiting for somebody to pin the blame on Joey Barton
ok ok I know jokes are made of this but it is not a funny topic at all to be honest. It is evident these players are being targeted. 6th player to be burgled already from liverpool FC alone
Makes you wonder, when players consider moving there they are warned about this.
Dont they install burglar alarms?
------------
THIEVES have broken into the home of Liverpool FCs Brazilian star Lucas Leiva stealing prized football mementoes.
Officers were called to his house in Woolton just after 11.30pm on Tuesday and scoured the property for valuable loot.
The midfielders Olympic bronze medal from Beijing was taken along with a number of Brazilian and Liverpool football shirts.
He is the latest Reds star whose house has been targeted after break-ins at the wealthy homes of players including Daniel Agger, Pepe Reina, Dirk Kuyt, Peter Crouch and Jerzy Dudek and Steven Gerrard.
Merseyside Police has confirmed that neither Lucas nor his partner were at home at the time of the burglary.
The player had been playing that night for Liverpool that night at Anfield where he had been brought on as a late substitute.
Among the items stolen are:
- the Olympic medal with a picture of a footballer kicking a ball on one side. It is approximately 3 inches in
diameter and has a red ribbon attached to it
- a collection of Brazilian football shirts, large in size, with the name 'Lucas' on the back. Each shirt has a different number on it
- a collection of Liverpool football shirts, large in size, with the name 'Lucas' on the back and all with the number 21 on the back.
Crime scene investigators have attended the address and house-to-house enquiries are taking place throughout the area.

^ not footie banter. Just lamo old scouser streotype.
I could make a joke about eastenders selling a dodgy motor.
Or how about geordies and their tabs and booze.
Got any more stereotypes? Are you channeling Jim Davidson? |

wasn`t stereotyping.....only posted a bloody article man ....lighten up. I did say it`s something that we shouldn`t joke too much about anyway....but it is getting beyond a joke these burglaries.
I read that after Dudek the club had employed a security firm to look after players homes,i guess the players have to opt in though & some of them are too fucking tight to pay up. |

We're still top, somehow! Honestly, this is a fucking strange season so far. Seem to be matching Chelsea and United match for match. Although, someone told me United drew today so MOTD was completely ruined when I saw Tevez's goal.
I reckon it could be a thrilling second half of the season although everything in me says we're very very close to a 4 consecutive 0-0 draw meltdown.
Im keeping a close eye on City too after today, Ive been to a few games this year with my mate and had a buzz. Manchester is pretty much my home so Ive been glad to get involved with what must be some of the most pessimistic people on the planet. The bus back to Piccadilly after a defeat is GRIM, but Im normally out of it by then anyway.
What dya reckons going down in the new year? |

| Don't know much about the Premiership, but I know Brentford are on their way back (league one at least - skint club at the end of the day)! 2nd in League Two after barron seasons. Brentford are back, Brentford are back! Andy Scott, a young manager for the future. |
