Are state apostille's still accepted on the FBI check? I have 2 FBI's, but going to get one done at my secretary of state office and send the other off to DC today. If the state one isn't good, I still could still send it to DC for federal Apostille so I still have a 2nd valid CBC? I'll update this next week after I've applied to recruiters with my state level apostille as I'm wanting a job offer yesterday.

Since there are some comments trickling in on how the MOE is now also requiring an original CBC with apostille (instead of accepting a copy of the one for immigration), it may be better to get both apostilled by the DOS (in DC).

Not sure why people are chancing it with state level apostilles. Maybe it's still fine with the hagwons, but the public schools are closing (or have closed) the loophole on accepting CBCs with state apostilles.

An apostille is an apostille. Those nations who signed the agreement to honor one another's apostilles are obligated to honor them. That's why the agreement was signed.

The State of Kentucky will apostille an FBI CBC if you have a sworn affadavit that is notarized. I just did this last week.
