Super blunt about what? The funny bit was about "so as not to waste time". So much time is wasted here that doesn't have to be.

Riiight, because people have it all figured out? Perhaps there is nothing to discuss?

No. People don't have it figured out. Pretending that Koreans do is a waste of time.

You went into the Twilight Zone. I didn't. Doesn't not compute, huh? Well, then I guess you understand what I said perfectly. You should because I presented you with reality.

Sorry, I have no idea what you are actually talking about. Just speak clearly if you have something to communicate.

On a different note, I just banged out 8x8 barbell sets this morning...feeling totally ripped!! Twisted Evil

The solution is obvious. Fat people tend to be poorer than average, like this unfortunate woman/victim. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2768442/It-s-not-easy-overweight-benefits-says-25-stone-mother-two-wants-MORE-money-government-help-diet.html so just give them more tax payers money and the problem will go away. All you'd have to do then is find a way of making sure they didn't spend it all on tattoos.

HA!! That photo is classic, it should be made into "how to get MetS" marketing material. This is the classic industrial revolution food supply in her cupboard (none of it is normal human food), and she's also got the classic MetS body shape which eating that food creates (fat is not evenly distributed, but centered around the middle).

Healthy food isn't any more expensive it's just the fact that you have to make a bit of an effort with it to turn it into a meal. A lot of people like her don't actually have proper family meals at a table any more, they just go to the cupboard/fridge on an individual basis and graze. With that kind of system, it's not practical to buy food that you have to prepare in any way. It has to be either eaten cold, microwaved in its container or ordered from the local takeaway.

Agree, although people do get priced out of markets.

In grocery stores the food in the middle (packaged food isles) represents the largest part of the food supply (by calories), and tends to be cheap-ish, and never spoils. The food around the edges (meat, fish, fruits, veggies) tends to be more expensive and goes bad fast. The perishable food also varies a lot in price depending on rarity (grass fed bison vs chicken breasts). In KR the difference is even more extreme -- fresh meat and veggie is seriously expensive here, my grocery bill is stupid.

Anyhow this chick is priced out of grass-fed beef, wild caught salmon, organic broccoli, and wild blueberries. No way to do it, she would need to get a freakin' job! But she could cook some rice, beans, plus some cheap meat like chicken. That would be a lot better than her cupboard. Err, but that would be actual work...

This has to be some kind of satire.

I don't want to comment too much but yes, shop the edges and learn to cook. A seemingly simple thing that is very difficult for most people to put into practice.

Well now... look at all those CHOICES at the supermarket. Rolling Eyes I thought your position was that there was no choice. Another fail.

Newsflash: anyone can post a timeline and talk some smack. That's not hard to reproduce. The study you just posted brings you up to a C- though... congrats.

I will be graded by how correct it proves through time. Thus far A+ since it backtests, it is disproved by no observations. Idea

You'll also be "graded" on how wrong you were about having "no choice" in terms of obesity, no choice in the American food supply, how exercise has little/no effect on obesity, constant dodges, poor communication and reading comprehension, and being a dick when there was no reason to be. Which would leave you somewhere in C-/D+ territory at best.

Back to the study that blew your mind, put the sugar-eating rats on treadmills and see if they lose weight on average. Bet they will, even if it's at a lower rate than the normal rats.

LOL, so true. I'm kinda a dick.

No argument there. Smile Although I guess the "kinda" part is debatable.
