To me, the big reveal was that the nuke never went off on the island, somehow splitting realities/timelines into the flash-sideways/parallel realm that many people felt the entire 6th season was. |
But it did go off... thats how they got sent back to the "present"
The finale made me angry... and I get angrier the more I think of it.. what an utter peice of dong... |

| I'm pretty sure it didn't go off. I believe The Incident (the D.I. tapping into the pocket of electromagnetic energy) is what pushed them back to the present. I think....considering it was the release of EME that sent them back in the first place. |

It couldn't have gone off, how else would Juliet have her heart-rending (yawn) final scene with Sawyer that gets his ire up at Jack that eventually just peters out and is forgotten over a dozen episodes like 99% of the suspense built up throughout the course of the entire series? |

Juliet's dialogue in that "heart rending scene" was used in the finale with her and Sawyer in the sideways timeline. When she said "It worked" everyone assumed she was talking about the nuke, but she was probably talking about her trick with the candy machine. |
