Thanks Richard!

5 months goes by so much more slowly while expecting than it does once the baby arrives.... I seriously can't believe how much time sped up, and for me, pregnancy was mostly pleasant... Life with Baby is unbelievably wonderful, despite its many challenges! Can't wait to see pics of your little one later this year!

Casey--You're absolutely right about time going much slower when your pregnant that when you have the baby. I can't believe my babes are 2 months already! The last months of pregnancy really dragged on for me and I was SO ready to stop working by the time I was done.

Newbie--What an adorable baby! What is his/her name? Your baby reminds me of my baby, Haneul.

I love the name Leah and it really suits her. I hope that you have time off to spend with her. Spending time as a family with a new baby is so wonderful.

I'm going to be a Gramma! But I remember being pregnant like it was yesterday. It was MISERABLE, morning sickness lasting all day for 3 months straight. Stretching pain, difficulty sleeping and a baby that kicked so hard I had bruises on my tummy from the inside out.

BUT it was worth it when the babies were born. (I had two.)

Raising them is the hard part. It takes humor, love and a choice to NEVER regret having them.

My kids are grown now and it isn't all milk and honey. They didn't turn out like I planned but they turned out like they should have.

Good luck to all of you lovely young ladies.

Haneul and Iseul's 'paeg il' snapshots. We didn't celebrate any special way, but will definitely do something special for 1 year.

3 weeks to go and I can say the wife hates it. She's tiny and having twins. There's not much room in there for anything else.

The funny thing is they both have different personalities already. The one on the right is quiet aand hardly moves. The one on the left must be doing gymnastics or something.

The wife made me laugh today. Both were kicking. The one on the left was kicking softly. The wife says "Hi mommy. I'm your daughter...here I am".
Then the left one let out a huge kick and the wife says "Daddy's girl is here to biatch. I'm loud and annoying...just like daddy!"

Your wife sounds funny Very Happy

I can sympathize with how uncomfortable your wife is. My twins weighed more than 14 lbs. combined and as my OB said, I was 'stretched to the max'. Since she has 3 weeks left, I am guessing she has already gone full term though, and that's great. Bigger babies that are born full term are easier to take care of in terms of feeding them and having them sleep more. So the sacrifice is to be uncomfortable now and get more sleep once they are born (although I know you will be tired regardless!)

Best of luck with your twins. We are enjoying ours lots and lots!

I just found out (2 weeks ago) im pregnant.
I had been planning my December wedding, going to the gym hoping to loose a few pounds while i was there (i got addicted to cheap korean icecreams and the odd homerun ball)
my parents are over the moon (im sure my mum had a voodoo doll of me at home, poking in pins with little babies attached) im their oldest child and it will be their first grandbaby, and they love my fiance, so they didnt have any problems with bumping up therwedding date to September.

but i spent probably a week stressed out about telling my future korean inlaws. i dont know. they like me as much as they can like an aussie girl who is stealing away their only korean son and not feeding him properly.
my soon to be sister in law was pretty friendly and speaks really good english but is just as conservative as that ajumma you see in your street.

the stress was really getting to me so got some nerves together. they took it fairly well. Then the food lectures started. I'm a vegetarian, but my doctor said everythings fine and im getting all the nutrition i need, so my fiance finally gave up on making me eat meat. I'm so glad he believes the doctor, even if he wouldnt believe me. But even if I ate all the foods his parents want me to eat, im sure its just gonna come back up along with all the stuff i wanted to eat. So theres no reason to go through meaty torture just to please them, i dont think thats a good enough reason.

sometimes i feel the pressure is very overwhelming. I dont think pregancy would be easy in any country, but I just feel its really hard without the support of my parents and close friends near by. I'm glad to hear its alot better when the baby gets out, but all i can think about is, ive got 7 months of that left, and a wedding. A wedding with those icecream and homerun ball kilos and a bit more baby kilos. When did you start to show? im going to be almost exactly 4 months at the wedding. I'm down.

Hi
Congratulations!
When we first found out - even though we were trying - it came as a major shock. It took us a while to get used to the lifestyle changes and hormone imbalances (probably why you're feeling down).
After the first trimester, and the accompanying morning sickness, was over I started to appreciate my pregnancy more. Morning sickness is a f*cker! That's also when I noticed I was getting bigger - although to everyone else I probably didn't show 'til 4 1/2 months.
Good luck with your pregnancy - and the in-laws!
Very Happy
