Or...

You could read what I wrote. I don't believe that comparing a city (with no real border control) to a country is a fair comparison.

If you take issue with that point, so be it. But if you want to continue with your strategy (one that you've used this entire thread) of simply dismissing things that don't follow your point of view... well, that's your choice.

And no doubt you'll use nasty language to try to emphasize it again.

Your so-called "point" is wholly irrelevant, since "border controls" will not stop criminals from getting guns, and there are already millions and millions of guns inside the US already.

Really, your whole attempt at debating this is a joke. It's obvious that you know nothing about it, and that even if you did you're too chicken to make any real assertions about anything. There's no reason for anyone to even bother reading any of your posts, since they're so uninformative, boring, and half-baked.

yet you continue to reply to them...

Again with the same nasty nature.

My point is sound and relevant... as relevant as it can be to this thread. keep in mind that it was not me who tried to compare a city with a nation.

I'm still waiting for you to show me where I said guns need to be banned in the US.

Or did you lie about that too?

Keep that dream alive. I don't think you've ever made an actual point in your entire time (wasted) on Dave's.

Unlike you, I actually participate in other sections of this forum. You see, I come to this forum because I live in Korea and have an interest in things related to living in Korea.

You come here for... what again? To call people names? To lie?

Face it, my point was relevant to the discussion and you're fishing for a reason to thump your chest.

Oh wow, how special Rolling Eyes As if anybody cares about your interest in Korea. This current events forum is unrelated to living in Korea, so if you don't like it, get lost.

To contribute information that is at least semi-relevant. Something you could never even dream of accomplishing.

Your so-called "point" was *crap*. Far being relevant in any way, I debunked it within two seconds: there are already millions upon millions of guns available all over the United States (actually far more per capita than any other country in the world). Period. And your rebuttal to this was... oh, that's right, nothing.

My point was that you could not compare a city to a nation - how exactly did you 'debunk' that?

You keep tossing up the strawman that I supposedly called for banning guns in the US - where'd I say that again? Oh, snap! I never did! You're the one that is trying to hold me to something I didn't say.

No, your "point" was that Kuros' example of Chicago was supposedly non-applicable because it was a city without border controls. You then said it would make a difference if the policy (in this case, a gun ban) were implemented on national level - which I completely debunked in no time at all, since border controls would have precisely zero effect on the millions and millions of guns already inside the United States.

That you keep dancing around this obvious hole in your crap argument, as if you stand any chance of proving anything of any relevance whatsoever, is truly hilarious!

Ah yeah, you never say anything (except for directly referring to a gun ban in your post to Kuros). Everything you post is just a complete waste of space. It's the digital equivalent of refuse - and if all your posts were just chucked in the trash can, not only would nobody miss out on anything of value, but the saved memory would probably make the site run smoother.

Don't be lazy. Quote me directly where I say things. I never called for a gun ban in the US... And your dancing around proves that.

Once again, you've lied. And once again, you pull out the potty mouth to try to beat someone into submission.

You're so full of crap it's coming out your ears. Kuros specifically mentioned a gun ban, and you directly replied to it (even mentioning a gun ban in the same post), saying it couldn't work on a city-wide level, only a national level. It's all right there, you're not fooling anyone.

Why would I need to 'beat you into submission' when you do such a fine job humiliating yourself? Anybody can see that you're a complete farce. You are your own worst enemy.

Yet I didn't say there should be a gun ban in the US. I said something else. Need me to quote it for you, or are you able to read it yourself?

Oh really? What did you say? Please, elaborate and lay it out for us (this should be good) Smile

It would probably be the first time you've ever taken a stance on anything, besides quibbling over quotes. I won't hold my breath.

"Our data suggest that restrictions on access to guns in the District of Columbia prevented an average of 47 deaths each year after the law was implemented. (N Engl J Med 1991;325:161520.)"

So even a citywide gun ban can do some good, but of course a nationwide gun ban is best.

Laughing

Gee, what a profound insight... Too bad you fail to offer even a single suggestion for anything. Because you've got nothing, and everything you post is 100% worthless.
