My first year here I wasn't supposed to be at the office until 1 so I would usually wake up at 12:50.

Nowadays I have a series of alarms:
8:00am: turn on the TV and go back to sleep
8:40am: put an arm around the wife and go back to sleep
8:55am: get out of bed and get ready for work.

Q.1 - why turn on the TV and go back to sleep? Isn't that a bit of a waste of electrity?

Meh, I don't really care. It keeps the cats quiet.

Q.2 - Doesn't your wife mind that the TV is on?

No, she could sleep through anything.

Q.3 - Doesn't your wife work?

Her workday starts much later than mine.

By the way, I just moved to a new apartment yesterday, so I can stay in bed a half hour longer.

My first class of the day begins at 7:50am but it is a 30 minute drive away from home. I finish my last class at 9:30pm so I am usually home by 10:00pm. Long day but I am used to it by now.
