I'm enjoying my wonderful new addition to my home, my slingbox, and channel surfing usa tv. I happened to briefly catch 'The View' and Hillary Clinton was the guest; she was talking about the possibility of her being the next president of the USA-surprise, surprise.
The topic of conversation switched to her husband and Hillary began expressing her plans for him. She planned to have him do 'this,' and she planned to have him do 'that'...ect. The phrase just struck me funny and I'm curious about other males how they feel about having a women president.
I may be a bit of a traditionalist, but isnt their something just against natural law of a woman talking about their plans for their husband on national tv. Hillary is a unique woman and a skillful politician, but nonetheless just a woman politician and by no means the savior for America.
Bill Clinton has expressed nothing but support for his wife, but every time I hear his speak about her becoming president, he looks like a man whose had his balls snipped: deflated, out of place, useless and alittle embarrassed. I may be overstating it, but he just looks pathetic. It must be difficult repositioning from the most powerful man in the world, to taking orders from his wife. I dont envy his current position and it would be interesting to know how he really feels.
Anyway, thoughts, feelings, apathy? |
The wife telling the husband what to do is outside the natural order?
I'm just hazarding a guess here, but you're not married, are you? |

Could you quote where the Constitution says he cannot serve more than two terms?
Secondly, what does the line of authority have to do with it? Remember that both Albright and Kissinger were SoS but ineligible for office of the President. |

No I am not going to cite the ammendment, it was brougt about after FDR was elected to four terms. I really don't have the inclination to do so?
.
The line of authority goes President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, then Secretary of State.
If the first three were killed and a foreign born Secretary of State was left he/she could not serve. The Presidency would then pass the the next in line. [If the Speaker of the house was less than 35/40 even he could not serve.] |

Alright, that was uncalled for. So congradulations kermo u r the one percent of women who dont dream from childhood about getting married and having children...although u never did deny that fact.
And personally Im not the alpha male type either, its not the alpha male only who has the desire to lead, dominate, succeed, sexually conquer. For the most part, u havent said anything that disproved what I wrote.
yes i do agree that a female president would be interesting. |

Write of weigh has a point in that women do want a man who is reliably secure and able to handle difficult situations.
However his concept of "domination" is a bit aggressive and extreme. Sounds like he has been reading too many of the "total domination" philosophies espoused by dating websites catering to suffering post feminism western males.
Women are far happier sharing power. Its not a case of one person always being the leader, but taking turns depending on each persons strengths as I see it. So long as the balance of power is not too far in favour of one or the other, its a happy arrangement.

You can't be that happy Write of weigh, if you feel the need to make low jabs like that...

Sry sweetie, I dont feel the need to verify what is obviously true. You need to study Genesis Chapter 3 and think about God's curses to men and women. |

If I thought your theories had any merit at all, I'd start a poll myself. |

Now there's something worth starting a poll over. |
