Atkins is a crock...diets in general are a crock...Atkins works for what it is supposed to...you lose weight. IS it good for you...well you lost weight...so weight related problems will be reduced...probably hurt your body in other ways though...

As for organics...I think as a society we should be more interested in them, but the way the whacky leftists trumpet them it turns off the mainstream. Plus, there are few standards for what organic actually is...
Canada has been fighting for a national standard for some time. But Quebecs standard is too STRICT for the rest of the country to accept...

As for weight...if you aren't willing to eat properly then you might as well lay off the fad diets as well...eating properly and exercise will regulate your weight...it is the best diet in the world...and the best part is it can last a lifetime. Other "diets" shouldn't be followed for long periods of time so lead to a rebound of the weight...

As for the problem with juice that someone asked about the problem is you are stripping away the fibre and basically being left with a high sugar drink (+vitamins) although better than refined suger it is still full of calories...AND little fibre...(insoluable fibre.)

Don't get me wrong...I understand that a healthy diet is not easy in our society...but if you choose the hamburger over the salad..(which might actually be a good choice in fast food rest. as it likely has fewer calories..) then you need to find time to exercise...life is about choices...make the right ones or suffer with the bad ones...or if you ae american...sue the fast food companies...

Agreed.

What's the difference in organic standards between Quebec and other provinces? What about U.S. organic produce? What about the kind they have here, labeled ? Does that always mean grown without any pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers on clean soil (e.g., not bordering a non-organic farm)? Are there any other criteria?

Also, can waxed produce be labelled organic? At one time I was told it couldn't, but I'm not sure how reliable that information was.
