Ya-ta Boy, I guess it was I who took the thread completely off-kilter last night, so I see no harm done on your part.
And yes, there is a marked resemblance between Vlad and Mark judging by my avatar. They might share genes.
Question: Who would you rather meet for dinner and drinks? (that's not a gay-ish question. I meant it like in the way that most Americans would agree that Bush would probably be a funny guy in a laid-back environment with nothing on the line, but in other ways he is extremely creepy specimen.) |

| Good question. I have loved Knopfler's guitar playing and lyrics for years. There isn't anything that I admire about Putin, but sitting down with him for dinner, that close to real power, would be a kick in the pants. Can I have Dire Straits albums playing in the background? |

| Thanks for the link to Sultans of Swing. It's always good to hear that one, and then I went on to Romeo & Juliet, one of my personal favorites for perfect teenage love song. |

"I'm just a hunk-a hunk-a burning love!! Thank you."
It doesn't get better than that, folks. And when Elvis said it, you knew you could take it to the bank.
(He died when I was five years old, but nonetheless I'm still an authority on Elvis and JFK and the "moon landings".) |
