How about Moncton Folks? Is there, or is there not a Korean restaurant in MONCTON. This is my future we're talking about here!

I'm quite certain that there is no Korean restaurant in Moncton. There's a convenience store on St. George that serves bibimbap and something else but not a lot. I keep checking regularly, though. I am going to the Dieppe Farmer's Market on Saturday to sample the Korean food there.

I agree about the Japanese restaurant in Halifax that serves Korean food...good stuff. When I need a fix I will visit my friend in Halifax (also a former ESL teacher) and we go there.

There is no Korean restaurant in Moncton. There is a convenience store that does Korean take out... they have three dishes they do, bulgogi, pork cutlet and a spicy pork dish. It's great!

Also, there is another convenience store owner who has a stand at the market in Dieppe every Saturday with some dishes.

As for those who think they'll never want to eat Korean food when you come back... Yeah, you might think that now, but when you start to really miss Korea, you may want to have some reminders of it.

This may be my ticket back home! LOL. I put myself through Uni cooking in restaurants and my wife is an awesome cook. Moncton is just an hour or so from my home town; The River~

still no Korean restaurant in Moncton.

There is the the convenience store on Killiam and one on St. George that sells Korean dishes.

My wife and I are definitely hoping for a good Korean restaurant soon.

There is a new one in Halifax though. A Korean barbeque. They have a facebook page if anyone is interested.

There are lots more open in Halifax now!

E-Pin has already been mentioned.

There is one called "Seoul Restaurant" that has opened up on Duke street kind of across from the Split Crow. Not too bad food there. Very friendly wait-staff, and the owner is a very friendly man.

There is one on Quinpool Rd now as well called Song's Korean restaurant. Also ok food, more along the lines of a kimbab shikdang, nothing too fancy, but good if you want a quick fix.

There is also a really great place on Bloomfield street called Rich Forest cafe. They have the biggest assortment I've seen, from the small jiggae dishes, to BBQ... many pages on their menu. They also offer "Chinese" like jjajjangmyeon and Tang Su Yuk. Delicious place.

It seems Halifax has gone from having one place, to having 5 or 6 to choose from. I'm definitely not complaining!

PEI is even getting in on the act, funny enough Charlottetown has a Korean restaurant called Seoul food that tries fusion foods (anyone want to try bacon kimchi bokumbop?) and regular Korean foods. A Korean grocery store also exists just outside Charlottetown, some Koreans bought a hotel along the trans Canada and decided to put a Korean store as well. Charlottetown has a lot of Koreans now due to an immigrant investment program. I taught some Korean adults at a local college for about 4 weeks. I always heard that Halifax had some.. I'm just waiting for Charlottetown to open a Korean BBQ restaurant!

Just found out that a new Korean restaurant opened in Oromocto. Korean friends mentioned it to me the other day and said it was very authentic. Don't have the name right now but I'll soon find out.

Cool, is it a barbecue or just one of the smaller dishes places?

You'd think there would be a lot of Koreans in Montreal... there's not a lot.

2-3 grocery stores ran by koreans (japanese and korean grocery store) and very few restaurants. Went to a korean BBQ and they didn't know what soju was (chinese place I guess).

Yeah, and the Korean restaurants that are there are pretty awful. I stopped going out to Korean food after I went to Korea for the first time.

That said, the convenience store owners in my building were Korean.

There is a small Korean restaurant in Moncton now. It was the old Acadia restaurant on Champlain street. Super friendly Korean couple who own it. They said noodles are popular with the highschool students across the street.
