Come on, sometimes we miss-read posts and get the wrong idea from the outset and so fuel our emotions into a reply post. I'm sure the whitebred thing was aimed incorrectly that way. All of us here, I'd say, aren't tyrants. We are all educated and can see the way things are. Some of us are probably so tired from work and stress of living here that we go a little mentally bonkers now and then.
Grain of salt, mate.
PS: I lost my mom too a few years ago. Luckily I was back in NZ for a year studying so I didn't have to go thru all the shit arranging travel from here. Had to fly to Aus. though. Anyway, the death made me pretty angry for a while and changed my outlook completely around. In my personal photos I had always smiled, up to that time. It's rare that I have a true smiling photo since. It changes yah. |

First of all, condolences for your loss. The decision you make is one only you can make.
I didn't speak to my dad for the last decade of his life. I did go to the hospital (where we didn't speak again) and then the funeral. I am glad I did because of the connection to friends and relatives. I do think attending helped give me some closure.
Second, I can't believe some people are so clueless and selfish who come on a thread like this and air other grievances just to get some attention. Isn't there a word stronger than 'classless'? |
