Komerican,i don't think you did.
on a lighter note, talking about british weather, did you know we have 5 seasons, which is one more whole season than countries like korea.
this makes us better.
this has been scientifically proven by britsh weather experts. |

I found your typical English blokes to be some of the best people on earth. Weather is feckin' terrible, in some places. Like horizontal snow on the Kinder Plateau, but some of the best crack in the world.

Umm crack? Or craic? There's a difference y'know.. |
Yeh, but we have the best of both, mmmmmm delicious crack...
I was talking with some of my American and Canadian friends whilst bowling on Friday. They all agreed that the English accent makes us sound very intelligent. I couldn't help but agree...... |

| That's funny, I had this conversation with an American working in Belfast and asked him "How's the crack?" He looked around shiftily & replied sotto voce "Dude, I ain't tried any yet." |

The British are a depressing lot to look at. Their facial expressions are usually grim and sour. I attribute it to their atrocious weather which is usually wet and dismal. The terrible weather explains why there are some well known British writers. Dreary weather tends to make people stay indoors so there's nothing to do but read or write. Most of the water around the British Isles is bleak, colorless, flat and oily.
The one nice thing about England though is that it's not Scotland which has got to have the bleakest and darkest landscape in Europe with of course the typical sour and suspicious faces. J.K. Rowling wrote her books in Scotland which figures since the weather is so crappy and the people so unfriendly she probably spent all her time indoors. I was glad to get out of that hole with my sanity intact. |
You should write for the cultural section in Korean elementary school books. |

your not taking this seriously.
you are hurting my english pride.
or how about that catherine zeta jones eh.
shes welsh, which as everyone knows used to be part of england, and she married a big AMERICAN star, mike douglas.
she also models sometimes for big fashion houses, even here in korea, hub of asia.
with the english wave taking off ,soon many americans will be marrying english women.
i really like the fact, although there is a bit of an age difference, they seem to really like each other.
she cooks mike douglas english food quite often, and he says its really delicious! |

anyone noticed there a british wave,in music and fashion.
i recon they invented punk, miniskirts and many other things.
i saw a vidal sasson hair product in a korean shop the other day.
he was english, before he moved to california, anyway.
i see more and more BBC programes on television, they are brought all around the world.
and, hey, who hasnt heard of the james bond movies?
a lot of girls just cant get enough of british stars like tom jones and little robbie williams.
it goes with out saying the english invented the non-farming smart suit(saville row)
also more and more people are speaking english, even here in korea, the hub of asia.
The British never invented punk. Ever heard of
CBGB'S
The New York dolls
The Ramones
Iggy Pop
Richard Hell and Voidoids
Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers.
english was invented by english people, just after we invented the wheel, fire and beer.
soon, asian girls from all over ,will be lining up to date and marry us.
so,whats your fave thing from the english wave? |

(i actually saw iggy pop play the roundhouse in london,i guess 1978/9
and i also saw richard hell +voidiods in concert and hung with him afer the show!
seems like a lifetime ago.
i think the trash-glam thing really did start with the newyork dolls, the speedy-mush up from the ramones..but the style (music and clothing etc) really emerged from london,clash/pistols/vivian westwood etc.
some say the Kinks were the first punk band, but that prob. taking the geaneology too far back) |

I'm fillin' up. I think we Brits should all hold hands and sing Land of Hope and Glory while our gin and tonics settle.
Or maybe we should just get pissed on Stella and kick some heads in for a laugh.
I thank my country for:
Fratton Park
The Castle Tavern
Spice Island Inn
Only Fools and Horses...
Cheap Indian food
Durham Cathedral (Seriously, it's magnificent, and I'm not religious at all)
Great off-the-cuff humour |

..and if you open an umbrella when its not raining, you die of umbrella-death.the unbrella folds itself around you till you cant breathe.
nobel prize winning, global britsh weather scientists have proved it,at american univerities like Harvard.
yes! its true.
asian people laugh at this, but this sickens me.
nb.we invented umbrellas over 5000 years ago. |
