not too sure of prices, but I figure they won't be much more than play asia, my regular guy was telling me he payed $57 to bring them in. and the price for ps3 versions yesterday were about 80,000 but they were versions from the base...
all delveries from the states come in tommorow

When you say all deliveries from the states come in tomorrow, you mean to the base?
If they were actually selling the U.S. version at Yongsan I'd be on a bus tomorrow but I've never heard of them selling the U.S. version at Yongsan, only at the army base of course. My buddy wants a copy so I could justify it by giving him mine when it comes and going to get another copy today, if it were the U.S. version.

Yes but my question is do they happen to have the U.S. version? The NTSC, NOT just the NTSC-J version. That's the $64000 question...

Mines in Suwon now in a van.

Not playing it until tomorrow though. Need to go to bed at a reasonable hour tnoight.

That was probably a wise choice. I pulled an all-nighter with it yesterday and had to leave for work at 6:30 AM. Now I am paying for it.

About the NTSC-J/PAL thing for 360: They sent me a PAL game, which had me worried at first, but it works fine on my Korea-bought, Asian-region, NTSC-J maching.

About the NTSC-US: I reckon it might be more than difficult to get it outside of a US Army base. Those machines aren't sold here, so the demand would be pretty small. Honestly, best bet is to order from playasia (ha- I don't work for them or anything!) If the credit card thing is a problem, see if you can get someone to help you out. Give your boss a sob story, like it's a gift for a sick relative back home or something.

Yeah, I put in a quick order with them as soon as I saw that they were shipping right on the 29th, even though I already had an order with yesasia (which shipped on the 30th and still hasn't arrived yet because of the holiday yesterday). Within two hours of my playasia order they had it on its way with FedEx, which is probably why I got it so fast.

Hope yours gets to ya soon, man. I just unlocked Algonquin (Manhattan's counterpart), and it is a thing to behold, for sure.

A lot of people are going to spend this summer indoors with the blinds drawn!

I can't wait to play it. But not having either an Xbox or PS3......I may have to wait until October at the earliest for the PC release.

In saying that...............PS3's have Blu-ray players.......interesting prospect.

Why would I choose an Xbox over a PS3?

Good question. A lot of people seem pretty passionate one way or another, but from all I've read there doesn't seem anything better about the 360 except its price is a little bit cheaper (and maybe it has a bit better online capabilities?). But the ps3 just seems more powerful all around, plus the blue-ray is way better. I'm still holding off though. It seems sony is still playing catch up, but I'm guessing once they start coming out with the new final fantasy games and that, they'll pull way ahead (at least in japan).

Also seems the GTA 4 version for ps3 has a bit better graphics from the reviews I read, but the 360 will have exclusive content for download (why it's not for both, I have no idea). anyway, the pc version will no doubt kill both when it's released.

Well, two years ago the answer would have been simple.

360 all the way. While people have been talking about the PS3 "catching up" I've been enjoying the best online gaming platform ever created, along with some of the best exclusive titles on the market. Bioshock, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Gears of War, etc.

Blu-Ray is fantastic, don't get me wrong. But I bought my 360 2 years ago to play games, not watch movies.

For the time being, the 360 has established itself as the king of 3G gaming. For the next 2-3 years, the smart money is on the PS3 taking control, but by the time PS3 hits full stride Microsoft's 4G console will be on the shelves.

Second hand 360 (unmodded) would be the way to go for me. PM if you're interested...I have one on hand.

When not working, or getting a buyer for my Civic EX (found one!) I've been playing GTA IV the past couple days and it is excellent. Multiplayer is really interesting - something about being able to do deathmatches, impromptu street races, etc. in a New-York-esque map is awesome. I'm a big fan of the GTA series, when I was really young, before the genre was created, I thought this type of game would be the most fun, where I could run amok in a real world setting doing whatever. I pre-ordered from BestBuy.com but couldn't wait for it to arrive (still didn't!), when I saw I didn't have it on launch day I went to Wal*Mart and bought a copy.. I come to Korea on May 9th (arrive on May 10th) and could bring an extra copy of GTA IV, the NTSC US version for someone if they want to buy it. Otherwise I will "return" the Best Buy copy to Wal*Mart.

I tried my luck at Yongsan and no luck, saw one for the Euro version but that's it.

Why the F hasn't playasia processed mine yet???!!!!!

I'm wondering the same thing. Here it is May 2nd (the supposed release according to playasia for the U.S. version) and STILL stuck on "preparing order" I even wanted to change my shipping option but it won't let me which really sucks. I'd pay the extra 10 bucks to get it here faster. I'm really pissed.
