My K name for real is Lee Hana because I'm sick of Ks trying to pronounce my real one. But I'm also sick of them exclaiming, YOU HAVE A KOREAN NAME??????????????????????????????? WOW??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're in good company. I remember a story about when former Korean president Park Chung-hee (박정희) married Yuk Young-soo (육영수) in 1950. The person conducting the ceremony mixed things up and called Park the bride and Yuk the groom, as the former is often a female name and the latter male. |

I don't think it is possible to know the meaning of a Korean name unless you see it in hanja. There are many Chinese charcaters that Koreans spell as "은" I believe. |
