Dang, Ohio state is in a battle with Ohio deep into the 3rd quarter. They are down 14-6 after Ohio recovered a fumbled snap in the end zone. The Buckeyes look like they are about to score, and they did, 14-13 Ohio still leads.

Michigan is also in a dog fight, struggling late in the 3rd quarter against a fired up Miami of Ohio team, clinging to a 10-6 lead.

Can anyone make an argument that the Big 10 is NOT overrated this year?

Maybe it's that the mighty MAC has finally matured.

Yay BGSU.

Finally got through all my torrents.

USC - Ohio St. looks like it might be a blow-out, but I'm actually backing off that, because Virginia looked terrible against Richmond, so the USC rout has to be tempered. Not a big a win as it appeared at first.

I think it will be a close game, even though OSU could have lost to Ohio.

The Big 10 *is* over-rated, ND (as always) look over-rated, but what about the ACC? They look terrible. NC State had trouble with William and Mary for chrissake.

A lot of competitive games when, looking at the schedule, you wouldn't have thought there would be.

The word "over-rated" is being overused, imo. Notre Dame over-rated? I hate ND, but in the preseason AP poll, they would have come in around 46 and in the USA poll, 43. They're always over-hyped (by NBC), but they were not rated too highly this year. Also, I don't think many pundits rated the Big Ten as one of the top two conferences this year, so I'm not sure how "over-rated" they are. They're not great, but who said they would be? However, if OSU gets crushed (and I fear they will) talk of the Big Ten stinking will be reach fever pitch.

Got to like Miami for the ACC. Their defense looked pretty good for the first 3 quarters or so against Florida and they were better than the scoreboard.

Dude, ND were 3 touchdown favorites on the line against SDSU. They were *very* lucky to win the game. And they didn't come close to covering.

SDSU had lost to Cal Poly San Louis Obisbo. I've been to their campus. The football field is smaller than most high schools! I'm astonished they even have a program (it's a surfer school).

So an unranked team, playing its first game of the season, beats another unranked team by fewer points than was anticipated is over-rated.

Anyway, I hope you're right. If ND were rated 100th in the country, I would hope they were over-rated and actually end up lower.

If Beanie is back OSU beats USC no question. that'll be the best chuseok gift i can get (besides a plane ticket to Miami for the title game).

I really think we were looking past OU every team has this once in a while. should be a great game sun

Dont you just love ND being so bad? I bet espn has the ND-Mich game as the "pillow fight of the week" in their bottom 10 feature

Apparently the current Vegas line on USC -OSU is 10.5 points with USC the favorite. There's probably a lot of L.A. money flowing into Vegas, I'd put it at 7, 10 points is a lot.

To say that OSU beats USC "no question", well, that gave me a chuckle. They play this game 10 times USC wins 7 times imo. But they lost to Stanford at home last year (but there were lots of injuries) so you can't say OSU doesn't have a good shot.

I think it will either be close, or a USC blow-out. I would be very, very surprised if OSU blew out USC. But it's still early so you never know.

I predict USC covers the spread. USC loses to Stanfords once in a while, but they seem to always show up for the big games, and I think I read that they've lost only once at home in the last 6 years or something.

As a UCLA Alumnus, I'm pretty excited about the USC vs. Ohio St. game.
