Don't draw pictures of Muhammad if it makes Muslims want to kill you. It's stupid. Don't tell Catholics that Mary wasn't a virgin. It makes them want to kill you. It's stupid. Don't offer a Hindu a nice, rare porterhouse. It pisses them off and it's stupid.
Be just a little sensitive to folks' feelings. It'll do you well in the long run.
Damn. I sound like a democrat. That's really stupid. |
People need to be able to laugh at themselves though. One of the problems with faith is that people tend to take themselves a little too seriously and become unable to actually see things from any other perspective.
I think evolution is a valid theory, but that doesn't mean I was unable to laugh when Mr./Ms. Garrison said we all came from a bunch of monkey-fish-frogs on South Park.
Lighten up folks. |
I agree with folks having a sense of humor. It just needs to be tempered with a dash of tolerance. |
Well there was certainly no message of intolerance in the OP. |

Shame on them who ridicule the brave young men who flew into the twin towers. |

there is nothing wrong with making fun of christians and christianity. they follow a hokey, outdated form of witchcraft, and that's dumb. completely valid target for ridicule and satire.
however - one of the main rules of being "funny" is that you're supposed to "be funny". the OP failed miserably in that regard.
christians and christianity are such an easy target, you're going to have to step up your game if you're going to win fans. |

I think you mean watchmaker, otherwise your little stolen quotation makes no sense. |
NO it is what it says!
think about it for a second! |
My problem is there is nothing linking the two lines. What makes them more than just two disparate claims?
Let's try it my way:
A professional watchmaker knows everything about watches. It doesn't take a professional watchmaker to tell you one's broken.
OH!! I see! You don't have to be an expert at X to know that something is wrong with X.
If your point is something other than this you're going to have to explain. |
