Oh really? That makes sense about the French Canadian keyboard in China, I'll give it a try.

Today I went to the Apple Service Center in Yongsan (thanks for the directions!!) god it was far but anyways... the cord is not only the problem, the guy tested it right in front of me, and there is something wrong inside the computer. It would cost a bit to replace to cord + whatever is wrong inside, so I'll buy a new one.

I'm kind of sad it did not last so long, but I'm happy to hear I might be able to find the French keyboard through customer service.

Thanks everyone for all your help!

Wow, that beats the Apple Store Korea even with the education discount. Nice!

Everything's on the up-and-up? Where in Yongsan is the place where you went?

Uh, the Macbook is 1,190,000 on the Apple website. What's a Macbook 403?

there are three levels of macbook available, mb402, mb403 and mb404

mb402 = 2.1GHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD
mb403 = 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM, 160GB HDD
mb404 = 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD

it would have been the mb402 you saw the price for.

i got mine from a store in the sunin building. can't really give you anymore help than that, unless there is a floor plan of this building anywhere... then i might be able to tell you. all i can say it the store was in the middle of two walkways as opposed to being around the edge of the building if you get that i mean.
