you have a short list compared to the wonderous evils that come out of Deuturonmey, Judges, Exodus, Genesis and others in the old testment.

Your list is about as long as the manical ratings and hellish ravings coming out of the New Testment from St. Paul and *hush* JESUS!

I have read all of those that you listed.

NUMEROUS TIMES. Ad nauseum.

I respect the Qur'an as an unbeliever and my muslim friends respect me.

Historical context, some forgiveness, perspective, and salt make a wonderful array from time to time.

So you respect a book which has a the central theme the destruction of you. Awesome. How many naive cookies did you eat today?

I dont respect Mein Kampf as anything less than a tool for teaching against bigotry. It brings nothing to the table. Your post which would have be less obnoxious as a link, is atomical in size compared to the proclomations of love mercy and forgivness found in the Qur'an.

The vitriol of the Old Testament is so large that to past a qoute would require half the book. Never the less my Jewish stepmother doesnt seem to have a problem with a goy stepson

So your "respect" of the koran and "disrespect" of mein kamph is merely quantitative? Shall I post the long list? Precisely what percent of a book must drip with hate before naive clowns like you ditch "respect"?

*beep* the old testament. Hate is hate. Grow the hell up and move on. Respect life.

There are roughly 1.8 billion muslims in the world. If they wanted us all dead-- we'd be dead.

The city of Dearborn, Michigan would pretty much eat all of Detroit in your scenario.

I get the impression you havent ever really spent much time with muslims--- or reading my posts.

Uh, no. They can't even devise their own means to kill us. Have to use our technology.

I did not posit a scenario.

Despite this being the argument from authority I will slam it. I have lived in a muslim nation, I have posed as a muslim around muslims many times, which is something every naive kuffar like you should do. I have traveled to Turkey, Syria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Maldives, UAE, and Kuwait. I have read the whole koran (unlike you) and much of the hadith. I'm a bonafide expert.

If you "respect" a genocidal and hate filled book you are an bad person. Are you?

Two (loaded) questions:

1) If you "respect" a genocidal and hate filled book you are a bad person. Are you?

2) Precisely what percent of a book must drip with hate before naive clowns like you ditch "respect"?

Exact, specific answers please. On question two I'd like a number.

Well I suppose since you dont know me, or my personal beliefs about people in the world or my life, or the life that I have lived, and you obviously disagree with my arguments and personal experience with such passion to argue with such vehemence, you must have already come to the conclusion that if I am not bad I must be leaning towards it.

I stand by everything I have said still. I belive in what I had to say, and I argue what I feel is right. Its your right to do the same. I dont much care what moral judgment you pass on me. I just care for saying me peice and listening carefully to others.

You came off a little too shrill and pedagougical for me to take you as seriously as you may or may not like.

The questions will go unanswered eh?

Really, this is the important one:

Precisely what percent of a book must drip with hate before naive clowns like you ditch "respect"?

You frame the argument in such black and white terms. Do you respect Shakespeare's "Merchant of Venice"? Its filled with hate for Jews. So is the poetry of TS Eliot. Should we ditch those as well?

I sure as shit don't "respect" any text that asserts as "Truth" the inherent inferiority of another group of people and punishment thereof. That you do speaks to your moral and intellectual weakness.

In addition, that you are not able to understand the difference between a work of fiction (Merchant of Venice) and an assertion of Truth (koran) leads me to believe you're intellectually stunted. For real.

59.6% give or take three-quarters of a percent adjusted for inflation.

How about you?

The question is absurb. Its like asking give an exact percentage of blue in the sky before its took dark you dont like it.

Why absurd. Why do you not "respect" the book by hitler and do respect the book by mo'? There is no, zero, qualitative difference between the two.

I'll give you a hint.

Because you've been taught to.

And that's pathetic.

I guess I see your inability to recognize that ALL art is at some level an assertion of truth as you being intellectually stunted. I see the work of Shakespeare as creating a moral framework just as real as any religious text. Hence the reason why I think people ought to take a more literary approach to religion and more religious approach to literature but thats another topic for another thread.
