you had questions about whether or not i can express my beliefs off the internet and engage in political discussion in person. now you have an opportunity to know i do. i doubt you'll take me up on it.

in fact, i have a strong feeling that you took my offer merely as an invitation to fisticuffs. you couldn't be more wrong, but if you started something i'd be happy to finish it.

Haha. So, Gopher, will you be getting on an airplane in the next 10 days to get down with a hakwon cowboy? His pic is classic esl.

funny, what's classic esl? i'm wearing a hat, shirt and shorts. i'm bending over and squinting because it was a sunny afternoon in july, and the person holding my camera was 7 years old. what am i supposed to look like? did i miss a meeting?

Just, you look like you should. Don't worry about it.

Judging from your picture, you (like me) are in the "average size" catagory for Western dudes. Maybe you feel confident because you behind a keyboard?

Or, is this the part where you start talking about boxing, martial arts and street fighting prowess and accomplishments?

Seriously dude. Picking an internet fight? Come the *beep* on.

i didn't do that. never in any of my posts or messages did i suggest that there was any imminent violence between myself and gopher.

find one shred of evidence that suggests that, and it'll be from something gopher said, i.e. him calling me a "tough guy".

he implied that my advocacy of "slapping" apathetic people and colorful use of profanity was internet tough talk. if you were to hang out with me you'd know that i talk like this every day. a lot of it is just babble.

if gopher and i met in a bar, and the subject of franchise came up, i'd say the same thing.

i feel strongly that apathetic people should be slapped. just a little cuff around the ear. i'm frankly far too busy to start a grassroots movement, though. PFTSOAS -people for the slapping of apathetic shitbirds... nah, it wouldn't fly.

i expressed an opinion. he thinks i can't do that off the internet. i do. that's all.

You edited the post that would have served as evidence.

yes, because i had just woken up and hadn't drunk any coffee yet. i really don't want to fight anyone, and i had worded it in such a way that suggested that i did.

every political opinion is subject to a sober second look, no?

this still doesn't tell me what classic ESL is. i prefer to think of my self as a renaissance ESL with a sprinkling of postmodern ESL... but i am still unsure as to what "classic" ESL is. please inform.
