| Thanks Easter. Originally, I was going to show them Christmas Story with English subs, but after watching the first 15 minutes I realized it was a little too difficult. I still might use the English subs for my advanced class though. |

| OK, so I downloaded the subtitle file that matched the Elf movie file I have. I opened up the movie in GOM and I synced the subs or whatever. I turned on the Korean subs, but they just show up as little boxes. There's no hangul. Just boxes. WTF!!! I have class in just over an hour. Please help!!! |

| The GOMplayer has an option where you search for subtitles you already downloaded and then it syncs it to the movie. For real movies you toggle the option in the player menu. |
Thanks a lot for that. I was going to go with National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, but I couldn't find a subtitle file for it. So even though it's not really a Christmas film (although it does sort of have the same feel) I'm going with Planes, Trains and Automobiles |

Do you think your students will really like that movie? |

I teach high school students so yeah, I should think so. I'm going to cut out a scene from the middle in which Steve Martin says the F word about 18 times though. |

Depending on your students level of English they might enjoy the following:
A Christmas Story
Miracle on 34th Street
Mickey's Christmas Carol
It's A Wonderful Life |

I'd personally avoid Home Alone, due to a random comment from one of my students a couple months ago.
I'm teaching in a public high school. Out of the blue, a few months ago, some kid asked if Home Alone played on TV a lot during Christmastime in America. Apparently it does a lot in Korea and he is personally very sick of it. |

It's sitting right here in my desk. The DVD case has both English and Korean printing on it. Lots of subtitle options including Korean. I'm pretty sure my co-teacher ordered it off Naver last year. |
