eh, I think it's an ok expression. It fits pretty well for any show that does something ridiculous in order to boost ratings during its decline.
Another new one is nuking the fridge(going way beyond the suspension of disbelief), but I don't see it catching on as well. |

| I hate when people say,"bang on" as in........"I agree with you Tom,I think you're bang on! " I really despise that expression. |

| "Axe wound" as a euphemism for female genitalia always makes me cringe. |

"Making love" has always seemed like a pretty stupid term to me.
Fucking, porking, grinding, hiding the weasel, etc. -- there are hundreds if not thousands of phrases which, even if they are euphemisms, are more accurate. |

People of Color: Come on, when someone says could the people of color raise their hands, would any self-respecting African American, or American Indian, or Chinese national raise their hands to that?
And yet, I saw the term used in a D**e University ad about their elite university and its diverse student population. Moronic bigots! |

Just remembered another.
"Bleed like a stuck pig."
How exactly does a stuck pig bleed? Does it gush out, or bleed slowly over a long period of time? When are these pigs getting stuck, and for what exact purpose? Exsanguination? |

Naw, just colorless, and the rest, colored folk. I mean, grammatically, "people of color" is the same as "colored people." We immediately cringe on the latter, but not necessarily the former. Ignoramuses of Ass-wipes.
peppermint, I'm not jumpin on your post, and you do agree it is silly, I can tell, but just venting my pent-up angst having seen bigotry abound. |

Funny. First time a K-gal said that to me, I'd swear she said, "Touch pay."
Puzzled, I assumed she meant I gotta pay if I wanna touch her.

I remember reading an article in readers digest or some other crappy rag a fews back... Not sure of the exact wording but it was written by a black women, observing how "white folks go green with envy, blue with cold, red with anger, yellow with cowardice, pink with embarrassment, white with shock....... and they have the gall to call ME coloured...." |
