Hi guys,

Sorry I was out of touch, but I was pretty busy the last few days. The package has been sold.

What am I missing here? The price seems very very cheap. How much is a replacement lamp? These projectors new were close to the $3000 range.

You said it's sold, but now it's not? Is this stuff back on the market?

New Benq 720p projectors like this run for a lot less than $3000 (even in Korea). The problem with any projector is that the bulbs cost around 400,000 won to replace. Sometimes more.

i edited the first post explaining why it is back on the market.

a friend said he would buy it and asked me to hold it for him until pay day. Then for the next pay day... etc. So it was "sold" but since he never came up with the money, I put it back on the market.

As far as the price, yes they were mad expensive a while ago, but all electronics depreciate.

I dropped the price because I am going to leave Korea and this thing is too heavy to take with me. On Monday I will start intensive Summer courses and I really want to get rid of this before leaving the country. There is no catch. The system works perfectly fine. I really am surprised that I have had to drop the price so far down to get people to come pick it up. (Of course, there were other interested buyers, but my friend screwed that up for me). So at this point, I just dropped the price further.

The only drawbacks are that you will have to replace the lamp which should be about 250-300USD sometime within a year. It still has 30% of the lamp life left in it, though. It's better to order these and get them shipped from the US rather than buying them in Korea, btw.
