| From a military history perspective (not Canadian or USA) did the US seek to take over British North America and the French militia stopped the attack from upstate New York? Or was it a minor skirmish in that war? |

| Basically, a quite unique and consistent turn of events occurred over a few centuries and this whole country of whatever became extemely powerful. Love it or hate it, it is what it is. There really aren't any other countries that essentially began as a project conceived by aggravated colonials. |
