That movie has so many great scenes that it's hard for me to pick just one. One of my favorites is Dan Akroyd saying in that deadpan voice, "We're on a mission from God."
One of my favorite movie scenes of all time is from In the Heat of the Night when Sidney Poitier, playing a police officer, is in the greenhouse with Rod Steiger (also a police officer) and the older white man, who is resistant to change, to say the least. Poitier says something to the old man that he doesn't like. The old man thinks he has the right to slap him so he does just that. Poitier immediately slaps him right back. The old man, crying, looks at Rod Steiger and asks, "What are you going to do about it?" Steiger just looks at him, completely at a loss, and says, "I don't know!"
Also, the scene in As Good as it Gets when Jack Nicholson walks into the waiting room full of people all getting treatment for mental illness and says, "What if this is as good as it gets?" Cruel, but hilarious.
The last few minutes of The Shawshank Redemption when Andy escapes from jail, Red gets out of jail, then follows him to Mexico and meets him on the beach. I saw it described somewhere that this movie has "the most satisfying ending in movie history."
The final scene in Driving Miss Daisy when Morgan Freeman helps Jessica Tandy eat her pie. So sweet. |

Mine would have to be the interview scene between Robert Downey Jr. and Woody Harelson in Natural Born Killers.
I love it when he talks about fate and says he's a natural born killer.
Classic. |

Did you ever see the alternate ending, where they are killed by the quiet man in the RV, who was supposed to be some sort of angel of death?
The last ending I liked was from the Tarantino film that he did with Robert Rodriqez. Sorry, I forget the name. But two scenes had me laughing on the floor; the first was when Kurt Russel has been shot and is crying, then the girls rear end his car. F'n classic. The next was when the kick the crap out of him and stick their boot in his face. I swear Kurt Russel's best work since Big Trouble in Little China, The Thing, and Escape from NY.
My favorite scene of all time is from the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, when Clint Eastwood mutters the line to Tuco: "Such ingratitude after all the times I saved your life." Then, cue Morricone's soundtrack. BOYA! Perfect cinema! |

The very last scene in the Korean movie "The Game" is incredible. Not so much for the story, but just how the music and acting and the end all blend together in an amazing way.
Also in Oldboy, when Oh Dae Su starts flipping through the photo album. The way the music rises to a crescendo as the photos reveal his daughter's identity is another unforgettable scene.
When I think about it, much of what makes Oldboy so good is the music. |

I never saw that alternate ending... I'm going to have to check that out. Now I'm on a mission.
I also love the ended to the Devils Rejects. The last hoorah car scene when they are driving towards the police roadblock and get blown away to the sounds of Freebird. One of the greatest uses of that song ever. |

The part in The Fountain when Hugh Jackman's character does tai chi in the dark with the stars as the background.
When Finn pulls Estella out of the restaurant in Great Expectations and kisses her in the rain.
When Maya explains to Miles why she's into wine in Sideways.
In Atonement, when Cecilia places her hand on Robbie in the cafe.
There's too many. |
