Also, you can make coffee at home any time you like. And unlimited refills! OK, I've done this to death. Scene.

I see the question boiling down to this: Do you betray your friend by revealing his secret? Or do you betray his gf by being the other woman? I'd say do neither. Don't have an affair with him and mind your own business.

Dude, what's with all the sex narcs? Are these the same people who write down license plate numbers to report information about minor fender benders they weren't involved with? I wish people didn't care about everything so much. If you're going to be a vigilante, aim a little higher and close some unsolved murder cases... although even then, why do you have to go cramping the next Ted Bundy's style?

I mean, Jesus, stone throwing, without sin, etc. (and the Rabbi in question was talking about sins in general, not sins applicable to the circumstances of the sinner's transgression, so no, you aren't in the clear if you've never cheated before).

I guess people who rat out other people is my pet peeve. I kind of appreciate people who violate social niceties, imagined morality contracts, and the arbitrary laws of their region. I think it comes down to my personally hating the idea of being a part of some collective of other people (despite my usually left-winged arguments against the many libertarians of the Current Events board-- I'll chalk this up to the social/economic divide). Breaking rules is a great way to assert your individuality, while reporting other people for breaking rules is the best way to reinforce the power of the hive mind.

If you're really that bored...I'm bored too. Want to see what happens? Paint the town red, maybe start a fire in the oven? Very Happy

I am not familiar with this euphamism 'fire in the oven'. Sounds painful. Is it curable?

Moral of the story- my social life blows. Anyone else have fun 'might be getting some' stories they care to share?

What has this site degraded into, livejournal.com? Seriously, you are getting intimate with a "friend" - who you know has a girlfriend and you're looking for advice? Tiger Woods called, he needs his dignity back. Wait.... wrong number - you have no dignity. Have fun in hell.

Smile sex narcs, I like that term.

I agree, I don't like narcs either unless someone is doing something seriously illegal. Or unless the person in question is a good friend or relative. I think it's best to stay out of other people's relationships.

My social life is pretty bad too. My BF and my boss got drunk and slept together. He only had like 3 or 4 beers but he's a lightweight. Needless to say, we broke up. My boss has been really apologetic though and I've got a pretty good job or else I'd quit. Anyway this guy I was with was pretty boring anyway. He was a good cook though but a bit of a neat freak and I'm more of a slob.

I've had a few dates since then but nothing serious. One was a Kurdish guy who had been deported from Germany for drugs he said. He's really into pot. He also had some small scars which he said were self inflicted. He's very nice looking and was really friendly but not into anything serious and I figure he's pretty dodgy anyway.

Another guy I met was very nice but he had the strangest stuff in his bedroom. There was a big doll of a witch, I think from the wizard of oz. he had a stuffed animal of a big bird and some other dolly knick-knack type things. Very strange for a grown man. I asked him if they were all his and he said yes. He's nice but not really my type.

Anyway, those are my getting some stories, not terribly interesting but I had to contribute.

Honestly, I believe all of this is human nature.

Everyone cheats, some people just have more integrity and never get caught and/or admit to it.

We aren't built to have just one companion in our lives, so why fight it?

Then again, if someone is getting hurt, it's time for a new situation.

Sounds like you guys need to have an open/poly relationship or to end it to keep things drama-free and safe.

People cheat to fulfill needs, that doesn't make them "immoral", it does make them an asshole if it's at the cost of someone else though.
