Good on ya. Lke I said, he's a nice guy. But I hope to heck you don't have to experience the same things I did with him.

The "he's a nice guy, but..."

what did he do to hang you out to dry and do you really think he is a "nice guy?"

Actually the thing that bugs me most is that he uses "u" instead of "you" in his texts. Come on Mike, don't be lazy.

Think that's the least of his problems when it comes to him writing English. Have you read his myspace?

I saw him a couple of times on TV. Why didn't he get a regular spot on Suprise. His acting quality is spot on for that.

I'm sure it would take some clever individual a few hours with Windows Movie Maker, a obscure Euro techno song, and a 4Chan post to turn mikeinkorea into a famous Internet Meme.

He'll be famous like the Star Wars Kid and the Nintendo Kid.

Who wants to make Mike's dream of becoming a celebrity true?

Sounds like he slipped that extra soju and ate the extra piece of bacon to get that part. Doesn't sound like an agent man.

Are there any good agents in Korea? I heard talent/model agents took a massive cut compared to other countries here too.

I understand how you feel but at the same time you didn't have to pay Mike anything to get you jobs. I got a few jobs with Mike and was happy at the remuneration for so little effort.
Op, just be happy you don't really look like Steve jobs. Mike kind of does, unfortunate for him.

Mike, like other agents in korea, get paid from a portion of your pay.

does mike actually pay up on gigs? what kind of recourse would one have against him or any agency for that matter if they do not pay you for services rendered? i've committed to some work with him in the very near future.

I personally know the person in question. His group lost money several times and he was on the hook for it. No one else stepped up or helped him, so if he's making a bit of money from the club, fair enough. But he swore blind to me that he never did, and he carried over any extra money to future parties.

Before, Seul Circle meetings allowed people to order food and drink themselves, but some people went overboard. 2 people come in, order a 14,000 side dish each, drink a pitcher of beer, and then complain that there isn't enough. That was when people paid 15,000 and not 20,000.

Maybe the company he is dealing with insisted that he take the role due to problems (visa and travel) with the other 2 candidates. And if he refused, they'd simply say 'we can piss further than you' and can his agency altogether.

I think he's a decent guy but it looks a bit bad.
